the term "accelerated filers" means? It seems like some sort of category based on company size. Is that what it is? What does accelerated mean? Why are there "accelerated filers"? Are there "regular" filers?

"In 1986, Congress first authorized the FBI to obtain electronic records without approval from a judge. Called national security letters, these demands could be used to acquire e-mails, telephone and travel records and financial information, including credit and bank transactions.
The letters could be sent to telephone and Internet access companies, universities, public interest organizations and nearly all libraries, plus financial and credit companies.
Originally the FBI could obtain records only for people suspected of being agents of a foreign power. In 1993, that was expanded to cover records of anyone suspected of communicating with foreign agents about terrorism or espionage.
Patriot Act in 2001 eliminated any requirement that the records belong to someone under suspicion. Now any person's records can be obtained if FBI field agents consider him relevant to a terrorism or spying investigation."
Relevant with NO PROOF..

Does anyone think it's about time slave decendants receive an official public apology for their treatment at the hands of Westerners?

Japanese prisoners of war recently received an apology after 60 years, should black people be awarded the same dignity after hundreds of years?

as a result have needed surgery to repair severe damage to fracture and have been in constant but varying pain for the last two weeks and have been told by the physio that it could be 9 months before my wrist is back to normal. I am contemplating making a claim against the owners of the nightclub. Had a few drinks before the accident but was not drunk. I am sure the owners will be very quick to point out "at your own risk signs"etc. It is my opinion that any signs in places of entertainment of the "own risk" type do not absolve the owners of their duty of care to their customers. Any sensible comments/suggestions welcome please.

I'm doing a project on media influence and was wondering if it's illegal for retailers to sell games rated M for mature to minors or people without IDs in the state of Michigan. If you only know if its legal or not, thats a good answer too but i would like to see an official law that shows its legality.

I am 30 years old.
Last summer my dad punched me in the face and my mother started screaming that I was psycho. They called the police and a mental hospital. The police came to my home and forced the door open. They took me to a mental hospital. The psychiatrist had my parents come in and they just told a bunch of lies about me. The psychiatrist told me I had schizophrenia. They locked me up in a little room for two months. I didn't get to leave the room once in that time. The nurses and orderlies would throw me to the ground for no reason and inject me full of drugs. It was the most horrible experience imaginable.
I wake up every night screaming and soaked in sweat. Now I am forced to go see a psychiatrist and get injections. If I don't.... the police will take me to a mental hospital where they will probably make me spend the rest of my life.
I am scared out of my mind. I don't have ANY mental illness! Lawyers will not help me. I don't know how to get out of it

Over the last five years my parents have put me in mental hospitals eight times.
If I told my mother to screw off.... she would have the police pick me up and I would be put in a mental hospital. She would tell them that I was not listening to her.

I have been diagnosed with:

-ADD
-Anxiety Disorder
-Depression
-Borderline personality disorder
-Bi-polar Disorder
-Bio-Schizo Affective disorder
-Body Dismorphic disorder
-Schizophrenia
-Obsessive compulsive

My mother told them that I was jogging with weights in a backpack. So they diagnosed me with a mental illness.
-She told them that my apartment was a bit messy.... so they diagnosed me with a mental illness.

I sleep fine. Always have. I don't go "manic". Never have. I've never harmed anyone. I don't hallucinate.... don't think anyone is out to get me... I have pretty good self esteem. I don't hear voices... never have. Don't have anxiety or depression

So you tell me.... is psychiatry just COMPLETE BS ?

forcing someone into it is bad

explioting someone is bad

using minor is bad

trafficking of girl and woman is bad

but what about those women who waana make easy money, without much hardwork. And making sex with strangers for money is o.k. for them.

these kind of woman become victim of expliotation by diffrent people if prostitution is not legalised in the region.

if govt. do his job. law take care no body is forced into, no use of minor either

should it be legalised then ?

please support your answer with argument...

so what happens if your license got suspended for 30 days and the 28th day you were driving some where and got pulled over, now I know you could go to jail for driving on one, but the cop decided not to take you in and just fined you for driving. He told me he was gonna drive this way and he wasnt responsible for what I did after he left ( givin me a break to go and not arresting me I guess ) but I still got the ticket. Does anyone know what happens now, im going tomorrow to get my license back and pay the ticket later , so does it get suspended again now, I need someone who knows about law to answer me please, if I get the ticket taken care of with in 10 days and im gettin my license back 2mrrw what happens in the near future.

My son has been advised by his barrister to plead guilty to an attempted robbery. We feel now he has been ill advised. I know you probably think i'm his mum and i would say he's innocent, but the events that took place shows that he is innocent. He's never been arrested before or even cautioned by the police, has a good family background and is doing extremely well in college. Not the signs of a person who would attack or threaten anyone with a knife. The knife he had was a small battered round headed knife he used to repair his bike when he was out and about on it. I'm feel he should have been able to state his case and let the jury decide rather than to have a judge make the decision. So is it too late to change his plea? He's 18 and the plea has already been put before the judge for an indication.
