what does this mean "CORRUPT BY THREAT PUBLIC SERVANT OR FAMILY"?

this is a felony charge in broward county- i just don't understand what it means the inmate actually did.

it is actually just that he threatened a police officer... so there's no best answer

It means he tried to bribe an official ( policeman, judge, commissoner,etc ) or an offical's family member. ( giving the wife of a mayor a new cadillac if she convinced the mayor to give him a job, for example )
