my thought is that it only becomes a gateway drug because people are forced to purchase it illegally on the black market from the same individuals who sell cocaine, acid, meth, heroin, etc. should the government legalize and control the sale of marijuana, the exposure to other drugs would be minimalized.

Here's some points to take into account and make an attempt to rebut:
1. People are going to smoke pot whether the government wants them to or not. They are not going to not do it just because it's illegal.
2. It would mean less deaths and injuries. Most street killings involve drugs. There are battles and confilcts with dealers and clients, as well as opposing dealers. It would save the police time and money.
3. Less crowded prisons, less taxes for you. There are so many people in prison because of just possesing pot. They have to be given meals and shelter. This is a purden on the taxpayer and can ruin a young person's life.
4. It does not affect anyone other than the person taking it. It should be illegal in public, but not in a private home. An adult can make their own desicion. Some people argue that it is to protect people from hurting their bodies. Does this mean we should outlaw knifes?
5. MJ should be regulated and taxed. Right now, street dealers are making all the $.

This is out -rageous! Now some big drug company is intent on vaccinating all young girls against cervical cancer , but without the pudding to back them up! This is a decision that must be up to parents ,their doctor and the risk in the family, no drug company need to meddle in a family busisness! Is this for real? What is to be achieved by this , MONEY ? The vaccine is too recent to be experimented on our youg girls! I dont hear these big drug makers , money hungry companys make a vaccine for men in any category mandatory! Who the hell do these drug monguls think they are? Who owns these drug cartels? I mean you get street drugs , and legal drugs , just as addictive ,made to bring in big money ! Prescribe by doctors who I really think dont care! I have never seen so many young children [4 yrs old and down]addicted to pills to [function]? daze tru life???!!! Answers please! Thank you .

I am creating a petition about animal testing, I just don't know where to start! I know I need to address what pain the animals go through and why it is unethical. But what else should I add? What is a good way to start? Also, who exactly should I send it to in the government?

I live in Dallas, Texas. I got a speeding ticket. The officer clocked me doing 49 in a 35. I was not doing 49. I was admittedly doing around 40 because I had just looked down and took my foot off the gas pedal when the officer stood in the middle of the road to pull me over. Initially he issued a ticket with the wrong last name on it. I went to the municipal court to dispute the ticket. The clerk told me to see the prosecuter because she wasn't even supposed to issue me a court date because of privacy issues since the last name was wrong. The prosecuter said that there is enough information on the ticket to deduce that the officer meant to issue the ticket to me and since I still wanted to dispute the ticket, I was allowed to set a court date. What else can I do about this ticket?

The man is an alcoholic. Drug abuser. Bum. He is currently claiming mental illness so he will not have to work. Lives with mom. In his 40's. He is trying to control me still. My adult daughter helps me alot. She was going to pickup our younger after visitation tonite cuz I have a commitment. Its a school nite. He told my oldest that he would not release our daughter unless I picked her up. But he sends his mom (the enabler) to pick up our youngest from me all the time.

What should I do tonite?

I have real bad hearing loss. I worked for fifty years in industry in eastern Ontario. I needed hearing aids repaired. The company said that the compension board may get me the new digital hearing aids. Well I am 70 years old and I have waited for close to 7 months. Should I just give up or keep persueing it?

I just found out the doctor I work for has been doing this for the past few weeks. Patients personal information, such as social security numbers, credit card numbers -- even debit card numbers are being sent to his native country for data entry.

It's not just business -- there are plenty of people here in Az. who need jobs...this guy is doing it to save MONEY...but people's personal information is being released....not for consulations, not for a 2nd opinion...it has NOTHING to do with medicine -- someone in another country is receiving their personal information....this might be your Dr. I'm writing about....Does that make a difference? Does it bother anyone else?

Maybe I'm being overly cautious but this just FEELS wrong!!!!

In december, I purchased something on ebay for a very large sum of money from someone located in the UK through paypal. It had a delayed shipping time for up to 4 months. Just recently, I noticed that his ebay account is not longer active. What can I do? I already filed a dispute with paypal, but it wasnt escalated to a claim, because I was still waiting for the items to arrive, and because it wasnt raised to a claim, I dont know what I can do to get any money back.
Are there any government agencies like interpol or the fbi that can help me? Since he was regestered with ebay and paypal, is there anything that those companies can do?
I would VERY much appreciate ANY advice from any lawyers or anyone that knows someone that can help me. I am only 17 and the paypal and ebay accounts are under my moms name.
I have all of the frauder's information, but I am not sure if it is legitimate. Is there anyway to cross check it with ebay or paypal, since he must have had credit cards or bank acount

hello, i am currently in the middle of a child support case, i have to go back on march 1st for a permanent child support order. i filed on the father of my children. to make a long story short, i put in a request for a states attorney through child and was told to check back to make sure i will have one present. i checked today and was told no one has responded to my request. my question is, is there some type of way i could find an attorney on my own without all the fees??? i was also told on my first child support court date that i could not handle my kid's tuition in that court room. i was told this when i tried to present receipts, i thought that was kind of odd. any help or advice would be appreciated!!! i live in chicago in the southwest suburbs. my court date is downtown.

Why shouldn't smoking be banned from public places? It's a proven health hazard, but yet people are still able to affect other people's health! It just doesn't make sense. I'm glad some states/cities are starting to ban it, and I certainly hope my state does it as well!

has screwed my stepdad over. In July his ex wife filed papers saying he made more then he really did. My dad contested it and they stopped all payments until further notice well in Oct. he recieved a judgment in favor of the ex. He has paid the amount since oct. Now that he and my mother have filed taxes they can't recieve anything back because they said he did not pay from August to Oct., but we weren't notified of a judgement until Oct. We called Kansas state where all this took place and the county lawyer openly admitted that he failed to notify my stepdads employer of the amount change. Now they say he is behind in child support is this legal that they can take his taxes for their faults????

This is what happened. Monday morning I took my daughter to work( her car is in the shop). On the way home, I hit a patch of ice at a stop sign and skidded out into the middle of a state highway. Thankfully, no semi's were coming or I wouldnt be here today. My son was very upset about this, because the police never called my husband to salt( he works for the street dept.) My son e-mailed the police and asked where they were and why they wasnt out patroling and keeping an eye on the roads( they call 90% of the time to say the roads need attn.) Now my husband is really mad at my son, and when he( my son) gets home from work, I have a feeling theres going to be a big fight!! Was my son wrong to e-mail the cops?? Or is my husband being a jerk about the whole thing?? I'm to upset to think right about this, so I need people's opinions. Thanks alot!!!!
