I think the family is just going after her because she is a high profile person and they know they can get alot of money from her...I was just wondering if anyone had any mature opinions on this.

She was in a wreck that killed someone, why should she be any different than anyone else????

She still was the cause of a deadly accident. I am certain she had adequate insurance. Brandy isn't all that 'high profile' anymore. She can be sued just like anyone else who is the cause of an accident where there is a death or injuries..
That's what insurance policies are for.
And no amount of money can bring back a life.

In my own state she would be convicted, if found guilty, of Criminal Negilent Homicide. You don't mean to kill somebody but you did none the less by your negligence.
Not only will Brandy have to face the consequences of the "criminal" issue...there is also the "civil" issue where she can be sued for "wrongful death."
The "civil" issue has a lower standard of proof meaning that she had better be prepared to pay for her actions with money!
Sad but it happens even when you do your best!

No...she shouldn't have to pay anything simply because she's a celebrity. In fact, all celebrities should be able to walk away scott-free from any type of responsibility when they kill someone. Isn't that what usually happens??
I hope they send her sorry butt to jail for the rest of her life...that will teach her and the rest of her celebrity friends that you just can't kill someone on purpose with your LandRover and expect to get away with it. Can I get an AMEN??

she is a human being that made a big mistake like you or I could have done......she may be high profile....but it doesn't make it right for her to get away with what she did.
