We just moved into the house December 06. My husband drives a large truck for a living and we need to make a larger driveway so he can park the vehicle at night. Are we legally able to ask them to remove the mailboxes if they hinder the use of our property. I know all mailboxes must be on the right side of the road. Currently their mailbox is almost two houses down from their entry way. In front of my neighbors house would be the most logical place for their mailbox. FYI, the mailbox belongs to my sister in law's grandmother and mother, who are very difficult people to get along with, but we must do so for the sake of my brother. We really need the new driveway, what should we do??

The Home office is to advise the police not to handle complaints from the public of bank card theft, but to recommend the victim to contact the bank. It is then for the bank to inform the police (presumably in bulk for statistical purposes) What do you think?

Every Human the Right to live. And I believe right to live can be snathed easily...and is snatched. But there is another right too. The right to die..And...No-one in the world has yet been able to snatch this.

When someone is oppressed...there are 3 options that someone can chose..
1.Resists...and tries to fight
2. Harms himself...usually commits suicide
3. Bears and does not react
Now Imagine the circumstances under which a person is forced to commit Suicide....or Violently reacts...rebels are good examples...
But in todays life we see a 4rth kind of reaction...where...he responds in two ways at the same time..the first two reactions..
He fights and tries to retreat...take revenge and
At the same time he finishes his life...ends his sufferings.

This makes him the worlds most dangerous person..as no-one can stop him...No one can snatch the right to die.

Why dont we realise.. Let them live...otherwise
they will die??
Do you agree???

I sat next to a woman in traffic court who was wearing an identical ballcap as I. I was forced to remove mine, she was not. I asked the judge why this was fair that I had to remove an article of my clothing to get justice and she was allowed to keep hers on. I was fined $500 in contempt charges. There is no appeal process in municipal court, and I had to pay or be jailed. The food was lousy!

If prostitution was their only charge, not drug possession or anything else, how much are the fines? How long is jail time? In Washington state. And if they were trying to look for other work, what would employers think of their record? Wouldn't they give them some leeway since it's not a violent crime?
I am not one, I was only curious for a friend.

And if you have any websites that would be helpful research tools, please post. Thank you.

My mom has a slipped disk in her back. Before recently
it was just numb on her lower back and down the right
(I think) leg. When I was visiting her for a week in
TX last week, I, who never fall, fell twice on the
sidewalks of the apartment complex she lives in. My
husband stumbled once, and my mom fell once. Now her
back hurts rather than being numb. I'm telling her
she could sue and should get herself a lawyer. This
is because the bricks in the sidewalk are all screwed
up all over that complex! Some of them are raised up
while others are sunken in and there are also small
gaps. Perfect for tripping one up especially at night
when she's coming home from work. She lives about
half an hour from Huston and I'm asking for a good
reference for her for some good legal advice on the
subject. Of course I'd need a lawyer who would
specialize in such things. Thanks a million in
advance!

I was given relative plcmnt of a child through child protective services. The mother does not support the child in any way & won't even keep the visitation schedule. During mediation she was told that because she did not complete her CPS serv and req that reunification wasn't an option; when told they wanted my family to have legal guardianship, she balked and said that was not what she wanted and wanted her own child back (mind you she has not cooperated at all with anything CPS has asked of her). CPS extended her case for an add'l 6 months and finally CPS got tired of her "bare minimums & excuses" and moved toward termination of her rights. A few weeks before court she called and said "I know I can't take care of my baby but I want my rights" and CPS has backed off of termination. Whave not rcvd any aid at all from CPS/state or the mother & the mother hasn't seen the baby in over 3 months. Why does the birth mother still have a say? What happened to the best interest of the child?

I personally think he did do it,but at the same time i dont think they had enough evidence to convict him of murder,i thought he was gonna be found innocent....O.J had more evidence against him and he got away with murder....and did Scott get a fair trial or was he "considered guilty" before his trial even started?thats not a fare trial if from the begining you are already considered guilty...in my opinion.

I may have worded the question wrong but here goes. A friend of mine was wrongfully accused of stealing checks from his job. The company supposedly did a quick investigation, didn't find the stolen property and then fired him. When security escorted him out the building, the police were outside waiting for him, then took him to jail. A few hours later he released and the officers at the jail told him that the charges had been dropped. Was this legal and if not should he seek a lawyer?

Yesterday we had a customer come into our store. He is a regular but always smells like dirty kitty litter. He smells like cat urine and cat excrement. It is very offensive. We even had an employee vomit from being in his presence too long, that is how bad he smells. Do you think that it should be the law that people are to exersice proper hygine before entering the public, just like they have to wear shoes and shirts? Do you think it would be appropriate for us to tell the man that his scent is very offensive? What is your opinion?

I live in Michigan. My daughter's father has been court ordered to pay support. He hasn't been making his payments and his show-cause hearings keep getting postponed due to him applying for SSI disability. This has been going on for over a year. Sometimes he pays and then the payments stop for months at a time. He told me that legally, since he has been trying to collect disability for 4 1/2 years, he hasn't HAD to pay child support because he can't work. The payments he HAS made have basically been out of the kindness of his heart. Can this be true in any way? And if he DOES start collecting SSI will I be entitled to backpay for my daughter's care?

(Including PS2, but my dad bought that one). Can I file a complaint to the court or something? Because he refuses to pay me back.
