The minimum sentence for an offence of possession, purchase, acquisition, manufacture, transfer or sale of certain prohibited weapons after 22nd January 2004 is 5 years custody for an offender aged 18 or over (s.287 Criminal Justice Act 2003.)
There is a maximum sentence of 10 years and an unlimited fine for poession.

he Firearms Act 1968 creates offences of:
Section 16 - Possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life
Section 16A - Possession of a firearm/imitation with intent to cause fear of violence
Section 17(1) - Using a firearm/imitation to resist arrest
Section 17(2) - Possessing a firearm/imitation whilst committing certain offences
Section 18 - Carrying a firearm/imitation with criminal intent
Section 20 - Trespassing with a firearm/imitation.

A weapon has been held to be lethal if it is "one which when misused is capable of causing injury from which death may result":
220 people have died after being hit by a stun gun in America since 2001, so I would class it as a lethal weapon.
