I found this little tidbit in Yahoo! News. I thought I was going to be sick!

FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (AP) - A U.S. soldier was sentenced to 100 years in prison Thursday for the gang rape and murder of an Iraqi girl and the killing of her family last year.

"Sgt. Paul Cortez, 24, also was given a dishonourable discharge. He will be eligible for parole in 10 years under the terms of his plea agreement" - BIG WHOOP!
This American soldier was in a position of authority when he took part in a brutal gang rape against an innocent 14 year old girl and then had a hand in murdering this girls family and he's going to be eligible for parole in 10 YEARS??? What the heck is wrong with this countries judicial system!!

What are my legal options?
After 31 yrs of marrage my husband walked out. We have a disabled 28 yr. old son and my bed-ridden mother who lives with us.
My husband has been 'PRETENDING' to have Alzheimers so he could retire, not work and force me to get a job. For months he has been PRETENDING he couldnt drive, take his medications or do anything for himself.
I know he has been faking because in the back ground he has been planning his move to Florida to live with a friend. The day he left he had sense enough to pack some items, drive around and try to sell some guns (for money), buy a bus ticket, catch the bus on time and make his way down south.
What do I do now...he said when he was walking out that he would be back to get his things. How do I keep him from being able to walk back in and take whatever he wants.
I would love to get a divorce but every attorney I have talked to this week wants from $500 - $750. I barely have money to live on.
I would love any suggestions...thank you.

We got a new landloard recently who assumed the previous lease, however i was under the impression that he would need to draw a new one with his name? Is this true or no? Also is the dog (not allowed on the lease) and the drugs enough to break the lease? I have 4 months rent left on the property according to the old lease.

What's your opinion on all of this? Should there be an INDEPENDENT federal grand jury or unimpeachable commission to look into all of this and how investigation was handled?

Why is the 'chief' miscreant always executed before we find out what was going on?

FBI credibility? BATF? Governor Keating?

Your opinions please....

The police arrest an accused when a FIR is filed. A bail is available in many cases. A judicial custody is granted for further investigations.meaning the police can keep you under detention without any investigation. There are many cases where investigations are going on even after twenty years. What a pity! The taxpayer is footing the bill of the boarding and lodging of all the accused. What a waste! There is no timelimit for the completion of the investigations. The pending cases run into millions.Dont you think that investigations have to precede arrest and not vice versa?
There are " teach you a lesson".cases There are revenge cases. there are honour killings. If You have a hefty bank balance , even an "open and shut" case can be prolonged.wasting precious time. There are lacs of undertrials languishing in jails without any hope of justice.Petty PILs are taking up the court's time.Politicians charged with big scams continue to rule without any hindrance from the courts.God help Us.
