Why can't they just take the DNA tests & end this Anna Nicole circus? What's the hold up?

If you are talking about DNA from Anna, I think it has already been taken. The only thing DNA from her will prove is that she is the biological mother of the baby. The reason why this came into play is because Birkhead thought that Stern may provide a false DNA sample in the paternity action. The taking of DNA is a privacy concern and you cannot compel someone to give a DNA sample in a civil action unless you have a court order which usually takes a hearing and evidence where the privacy right of the individual is weighed with the need for the DNA. You run into more problems when you are faced with 2 separate jurisdictions and another country, all of which have different laws.

If they did everything sensibly then the lawyers and Judges would not have their 15 min. so to speak ~ it would be done and over with. Look at this judge who was almost sobbing giving his verdict on where Anna should be buried...that was pathetic....he was using this circus for his own benefit ~ It's alot of theatrics here on all parties involved ~ except the baby of course...does anyone have a true, heartfelt interest in her? It's all about the money and fame.

I'm with hammy........Howard knew that if he got her in the Bahamas that they would uphold his shaky legal grounds. He's pretty slick and obviously a lot of planning went into it. The US should investigate Stern and extradite him back to the US. He knows something about that inheritance money too. Howard is the hold up. The appointed gaurdian ad-litem might be able to make him undergo a DNA test but so far the gaurdian seems to be siding with Stern.

The player don't want to volunteer DNA cuz they get free publicity.

The judge doesn't want to issue a warrant. He's to busy crying now.

Besides, if this takes less time than OJ's trial or Michael Jackson's trial the lawyers don't make as much money. Don't get free publicity.

And the media would have to go back to reporting their anti Bush campaign. They want to wait until closer to election to start their next attack.

howard is the hold up. his name is on the birth certificate and the bahamas are sticking with that. why wont howard cooperate? well, he who has the child has the money and howard never worked a day in his life. he has been supported by his parents and was living at home until anna came along then he jumped on the anna wagon and let her support him. if he loses custody its back home to mama and daddy and back to his unasuming pathic life.
