part-time workers are hourly employees who do not work enough hours to get all of the benefits a company offers to their full-time employees.

You don't need to wait for Congress to act. You can either seek a full time job today or go back to school and get the skills necessary for a better job.

If I were an employer, I'd sure as hell discriminate the good workers vs. the bad ones. For congress to pass legislation against that would be inconstitutional.

What kind of "discrimination"?

I do have a couple of things to say...first, you don't have a "right" to be employed by someone else unless you have a contract that gives you an employment term. Secondly, why in the world would you want the government handling anything? You do remember the Katrina disaster, right?

It is illegal to discriminate against any worker based on race, religion, gender or sexual orientation regardless of full or part time status.
