Yes, in most cases. It might matter what type of work you go into; for instance, they might not let you be a cop. It also depends what your felony is: I know that some doctors and nurses have a felony background (usually drugs), but once they prove that they have made an effort to change and will not have the same problems again, they are allowed to work.

I read something that said that if nobody seems to want to hire you in large corporate environments or the government due to your criminal background, you may have better luck with smaller employers, who are more likely to take a chance on somebody or get to know him/her personally before judging.

I'd say get the degree, be honest, and impress people so that you'll have great references. And maybe choose something that your past won't be as important.

If you want to go into something that requires a license (like health care), you can call the state board of whatever it is and ask them for advice.

Yes, absolutely. It is within everybody to be successful, even if you have a felony. For certain, you (or who ever has the felony) will be able to find a college to attend. Anyway, college is not always the answer to being successful. I decline to confirm I have a personal connection with your question, but, I do know that many people with unsavory backgrounds are extremely successful. Hope this helps you.

i believe it's definitely possible...everyone makes mistakes(granted, some bigger than others), and a lot of people actually learn from them...i think that some one with a felony should get a second chance, as long as it's not murder, rape, or something along those lines obviously.......one slip shouldn't be enough to ruin a person's life..

Many have gotten a college degree while still in prison so I'd say the answer is yes.

You bet!! You can even go to law school and in some jurisdictions, be admitted to the bar. The MOST important thing to remember though is to be open and honest on all of your applications. If you leave something out and it is later discovered, you could be given the boot.

Of course you can!! But some companys frown or convictions.. Depends on what your felony was. If you murdered or raped or had sex with a kid, then your not going to get hired by any company. But if it was for something stupid like...drugs...or..
Hmmm..... Good luck.

Success in life is not dependent upon a college education. It IS dependent upon the fortitude of that certain "someone".
