Yes, it's legal in New Jersey. The most common type of abortion in the first trimester is a suction abortion. The abortionist first forces open your cervix (the opening to your womb), which is tightly closed to protect your baby. This often results in tearing and permanent damage. He next inserts a sharp-tipped vacuum tube up into your womb. The suction is 30 times more powerful than a vacuum cleaner and tears your baby apart and out of your womb. He then inserts a loop-shaped steel knife called a curette into your womb to scrape out any remaining pieces of the baby and your placenta. Abortion is known as a "blind procedure," because the abortionist cannot see what he is doing after inserting the sharp instruments into your womb. He may puncture your uterus, bowel, or bladder. This procedure is very painful.
Chemical abortions are more expensive and just as dangerous . 11 women have died so far from chemical abortions (see last "Abortion Deaths" link below). Two chemicals are given. The first cuts off your baby's nourishment, causing her to starve to death inside your womb. The second chemical causes you to go into hard labor, pushing the dead baby out. Bleeding is profuse, pain is great, and the whole process takes an average of nine days. Sometimes, parts of the baby are left inside the womb, where they can rot and cause infection. This is what killed 18 year old Holly Patterson in California a few years ago.
At just three weeks after conception (about one week after you miss your period), your baby's heart is already beating. For more information, see:

You do not have to abort your child and put yourself at risk. You can still choose to protect your baby and yourself.

Go to a planned parenthood centre. They will disuss all options with you, including abortion, adoption, etc and you can make an informed decision.
(I make no representations as to the right choice, but you should know all options.)
I don't really think they can tell your parents. But, if they do have to, I would assume that they don't have to tell your parents that you visited the clinic.
This is not a choice to be made on Yahoo answers.
If you are scared to go to the clininc, try talking to a guidance counselor at your school, someone at your church or another older person you trust.

it is legal in every state, including NJ. parental notification is required in almost every case for a girl under 18 though. you can check with planned parenthood, they are the abortion experts. there is no injection. they will take an instrument and scrape all the baby material from the inside of your uterus, killing it, then they will take something that looks like a vaccuum hose and put it in there and it will suck up the rest of the baby. sometimes they do not get everything and little remains will come out naturally as you shower, use the bathroom, etc.

i think of it relies upon on the age. 13-15, sure the parents could desire to have administration over the project in a existence or dying concern which you're describing. If sixteen or 17, an abortion should not be compelled.

Yes, it is legal in NJ; find a Planned Parenthood Center near you:
http://www.plannedparenthoodnj.org/health/index.php
The procedure would only be determined by the medical professionals after they examine you, and they will answer any and all questions.
and the Parental Notification Act was struck down and ruled as unconstitutional.

Please consider giving your baby up for adoption. I know it is not easy being a pregnant teenager. In fact, just telling your family might be difficult. But you will feel a lot better about this in the future if you do not have an abortion. Good luck.

Why do you want to do Abotion. Personally, I think that Abortion is just crule and horrible. It's just like killing a baby. You would never do that to a dog, so why to a person? The baby never gets another chance to see the world, and you're going to kill it. thats so terrible. at my school, we had a anti-abortion day, so all of the people like you murduring people.
