I am having a hard time collecting the child support that is owed to me. I keep getting the run around from the court system. I would like a lawyer to help with my case but I can't afford one. I also make just above the limit to receive legal aid. I live in Pennsylvania. Anyone know if there are any other options?

I'm an American atty, which is a combination of barrister and solicitor under the British system. I teach courses in Constitutional law. Many of our fundamental principles of law stem from the Magna Carta. To some degree, our Senate was based on the House of Laws. We just did not have heritary peerships. Does your House of Lords have any significant power left?

I heard that there the owner of a deli or store in NY put a sign in the window that said, "This is AMERICA: WHEN ORDERING 'PLEASE SPEAK ENGLISH,' " No one has been refused service, but the owner is being harrassed by Human Relations Commision for discrimination.
Is this discrimination or free speach?

Then if you tell them that you are going to do some more comparison shopping they (not all_) get stupid and say a lot of things that make you feel bad about not buying from them..me? i just cross them off but what would be the best reply to these ignorant boring type salespeople?

For those interested in saving these facilities do sign the petition on line. I believe 750,000 signatures are required before the prime minister's office will even bother looking at the petition.

http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/KeepAandE/

Previously individual A&Es are being threatened with closure which could easily be the difference between life or death for some individuals. This new petition link is to try a sway the government against the ongoing threat to A&E departments throughout the UK.

Will you save someone's life and sign the petition today?
The choice is yours.

Even if the site is very busy do keep trying and make a difference.
Good wishes to all for a long happy and healthy life.

After being out of the house for the day, I have woken up to find my neighbour has put a wire around all of her fences on the top to stop cats going into her garden. The fence as you look out the back of our house is on the right hand side is our fence and she has put this up without asking our permission. It looks hideous and as our kitchen is at the back of the house close to the fence it looks nasty! Does anyone know what rights you have before I go around to ask her take this down?

Thank You

If you knew that your father molested one of his female children, and was now engaged to be married... should his fiancee be told? The fiancee has young children, males. The father has been confronted and has indicated that he will not be informing his soon-to-be wife.

If the woman is told, the father may sever contact with the children, which would be acceptable; however, with contact severed, he would then be free to meet new women, and children, without bounds. Is it then better to stay quiet?

Action could also be dangerous. The man is hot tempered and it would not be inconceivable for him to hurt someone in retaliation.

What does one do? How does one approach this very delicate situation?

Any American citizen has a bad habit of giving opinions about other countries alike its politicians. It has a bad habit of giving warnings. Don't you still realize your situation in Iraq? You call India as poor and backward. Wahh...how many of you have really been to India? Accept that you have a bad habit in following what your media projects (like your existing president in 2nd term). Indians are clever business community. If you have money, they will listen to you for its benefit. India slowly (& completely) uses the one who thinks itself the world’s best. I can understand your frustration about India. It is because your jobs are being taken away by Indians or work is being outsourced in India. Just keep on watching….

do you think people who are terminally ill should be allowed to die with dignity? We've all allowed our pets to be put to sleep so what is so wrong with allowing a person to have a fatal injection?

Instead of acting like it's not my problem? Until it becomes a
Monster. And then wanting to kill somebody over it?
How about owning up to simple human errors, and just fixing the
problems.

In all the old movies when anyone is getting married. They always go to City Hall and they talk about a blood test. Most of these films are way before D.N.A. and all that. So I always wondered that they where testing for.I don't know if it is still required. But I know back then you could not get married without a test.

What do I do? I don't know if he said it to "sound big" or if there is truly a problem. I confronted him after finding text messages on his phone asking if he was looking to score and if he could get a dime. He doesn't live with me, and the person he lives with denies any involvement with drugs, but I suspect he is using. The person he lives with is accusing me of "making trouble". My son is soon to be 17, if there is a problem, I'd rather be a troublemaker then turn a blind eye.

1. The Government Officials of any department caught taking Bribe are mearly let off after a departmental action and minor penalisation, which does not detter them from comitting the crime again.
2. As a policy the Govt should introduce new law whereby a Govt Official caught taking Bribe should be dismissed from service for misusing his official position and his pay and allowances be deposited in Govt Treasury as penalty for the crime to public. It will act as detarance to all.

My father sold his car to a guy at work. He foolishly transfered the paperwork to the buyers name on the understanding he would pay him. The buyer worked with him so he thought it would not be a problem. However he has since left and now refuses to pay. He had agreed to pay £1000 for the car. When asked for the money he threatened to kill him. What should he do as my dad just says leave it. Why should this man get away with it. Either he gives him his money back or his car. Should we contact the police? Are we right to want the money?

Basically, we borrowed some money from my Husbands Grandma and before we could pay it back she, sadly, died. We did pay some of it back but his uncle says that we have to give him his share of the money. We think that as there were no legal contracts signed (it was only for £2000) that it is a finished debt, but the Uncle, who will be getting £100,000 inheritance says he wants his share! Help!
