If you knew that your father molested one of his female children, and was now engaged to be married... should his fiancee be told? The fiancee has young children, males. The father has been confronted and has indicated that he will not be informing his soon-to-be wife.

If the woman is told, the father may sever contact with the children, which would be acceptable; however, with contact severed, he would then be free to meet new women, and children, without bounds. Is it then better to stay quiet?

Action could also be dangerous. The man is hot tempered and it would not be inconceivable for him to hurt someone in retaliation.

What does one do? How does one approach this very delicate situation?

Additionally, the child in question (now an adult) is not planning to contact authorities. I do reiterated as well, one of the primary fears is that if this man left his current fiancee and severed ties to his family, that he may find a new girlfriend/fiancee that doesn't have male children, but female children, which could be more tempting (to him)

Yes. Without a doubt. The choice, however, has to be weighed against the consequences of both action and inaction. Further, consider WHY you think they should be told. Are your motives purely for the interest of the prospective bride and her children? or for personal revenge? The latter is never a good choice.

Why is the man still walking the streets. If this man is a child molester and the people who KNOW that don't do anything to get him off the street, they are enabling him to molest again.

This is NOT a delicate situation. He is a sex offender and pedophile - period. Report him to the police immediately and get him away from all children.

She should be told before she marry's this man, if someone doesn't tell her then that is a shame. If a person knows that children are in danger and doesn't say anything then they are at fault as well.
