I"m just curious during that time whites mainly controlled governments and law. Blacks put pressure on them to make the changes for their freedom. If Blacks never were to protest and demonstrate. It seems the inequalities would still exsit to this present day. In other words whites have no problem mistreating minorities until so much of an uproar was caused that it was absolutley necessary to abolish jim crow and establish civil rights.

I'm about due to pay my homeowner association fees, and I'm hard-pressed to see how and where any of these fees directly relate to or actually affect me (other than street-cleaners, which even there tend to be lacking in my area) and I'm wondering if it's possible to ever challenge your homeowner fees (legally or otherwise) and who you would need to contact to do something like this.

Thanks.

Is it a felony or a misdemeanor if the secretary at the dr's office calls in a prescription for narcotics (pain pills, valium, sleeping pills...) to the pharmacy w/o the dr's knowledge? What are the penalties? What about going across the boarder to get them, are there consequences?

I was shopping at the nugget market grocery store a few days ago and was caught shoplifting. They have me on camera putting something in my bag. I dont shoplift! It is a long story, but I was called into the back by the security guard and they made me sign some form and took my photo after I had paid for a variety of items and walked to my car. no police were called and they just told me to pay a fine and send the check to some service dept. They asked for my addie and my SS# as well and said it would stay confidential as long as I paid? I was extremeley scared and just admitted to stealing eventhough the situation is much more complicated. I sent the money out as well. Will I be called by the police or do i have to worry about appearing in court and having this on my record? I dont want to lose my job. Hopefully it isnt anything to worry about. It is just a really awkward situation. I have never shoplifted in my life.

How long does a misdemeanor stay on a person's record? My brother in law had a minor drug charge nearly 5 years ago and wanted to know if it would still be on his record. If it is still on there, how can he have it taken off?

Because of the Reservstion Policy, right from admission to school, higehr education, employment and in all other fields, chances are denied to the so called forward communities, inspite of the fact that such persons are poor. On the other hand opprtunities are thrusted on the so called backward communities even if they are economically very comfortable. This not only leads to non utilisation of good brains, brain drain etc., but also to frustration in the most fertile mind, which is not good to our nation which needs all the resources it has to make the country economically and spiritually wealthy. Therefore it is our most desired effort that this bane of reservation should be eliminated altoghetherand may the best man win the race. If for political reasons, elimination of reservation is not possible, we should find an alternate way to tap the resources available with such opportunity denied fertile brains. This is the way uphold our constitutional promise of equal opprtunity to every

i am actually asking for my husband. who is not trying to get out of going. we are worried though because he just started a new job. i am going to school and a full time mother of our baby. and money is tight . we are afraid of how many days it will take. one or two days is not that big of a deal. but if it last for a week or more we are not going to be able to pay the rent. ( i said all that because in my last post everyone was yelling at me for not doing my duty as and american) so my question is this on avrage how long does it last? what are the odds of it taking more than a week? oh and let me also add. a phone call wont work. we read the reasons you could be excused and economic reasons are not one of them .

Seems to me that the sick, retired, unemployed, families and children should be protected if they are unable to support themselves. Shouldn't health, education, housing and nutrition be insured and underwritten by our government? Ultimately in the long-term doesn't it cost less to go this route; we would be healthier, more educated, and less desperate? By being sure people were taken care of wouldn't there be lower incidence of crime, and have smaller prison populations?
