I stopped making payments on my new car because of financial and work trouble, and after a few months it was repossessed. I knew that my credit was at risk, and I was perfectly okay with that. I got a couple more calls and photocopied letters over the next couple months. And then today, this guy with an ID wallet knocked on my door, and said he was presenting me a civil summons. The packet of paper looked official with a bunch of county emblems on it...and my head started to fill with thoughts like: Am I getting charged with something? Am I getting sued? Am I going to jail?! He then asked me some basic questions (DOB, etc.,) and politely left. When I went back in I read through the papers, and it just seemed like it was a longer, extravagant version of the photocopied letters, presented to me in person by a guy from the courthouse with an ID wallet. So what happens next? Am I getting charged with something? Am I getting sued? Am I going to jail?!

The co. requires it's employees to do this of they are threatened by lower hours and being writen up. They also monitor how much you use the bathroom, you're only required so many minutes a day to use the bathroom or they clock you out. Oh, and bathroom time counts towards your breaks.

a person is slandering my good name and harrassing me by making constant phone calls which I dont answer. what can be done legally with out spending alot of money. Another thing is this person got my cell number and calls blocking the number and wasting my minutes. if I go to the cops then maybe it will make it worse. This person also is spreading rumors about the work I do causing people to lose their trust in me. She is well known for trouble by cops. She also drives by my home constantly.

My ex husband and his family want me removed from the property. Eight years ago, they gave me an immoveable mobile home under my name. It is immoveable, because my ex and I built an addition to the back part of it, and I put on a whole new roof which supports itself over my home. Now they expect me to move it and they have rail-roaded me out of it and they cut my electric power off my meter box. The electric company did not do anything and I was escorted off the property by the sheriff. I had settled, to leave and we had agreed I had until April 1 to remove my home in pieces. I filed an apeal because they did not file the papers on the agreement we made when I settled to move. Ten days after the settlement they cut my electricity off. The meter is under my name and my light bill is current, now I can not even connect a power tool to help with the removal of my home. My fish are dead, my dog has a broken leg, and my cat is scared half to death. We just want to live, but they hurt us.

Anyone know about Medical & Personal Leave laws in IL/Illinois?
I'm planning on taking a medical or personal leave at work to have surgery.
I don't know IL law, but need to know if your employer has to know what kind of surgery you're getting, can they deny you a medical leave for surgery that is cosmetic, & how long of a medical leave can you have w/in a yrs time?
If you have to tell your employer the kind of surgery your getting, I'm considering asking for a personal leave instead. Do you have to tell the employer exactly what the personal problem is & how long of a personal leave can you have w/in a yrs time in IL?

When a judgement is made against someone can they contact banks and ask if someone has an account there to garnish the bank account? My mom had a judgement against her and at the time of the credit card she was with a local bank. Since then she has changed banks so unless they call around there is no way for them to know where she banks is there?
Her wages are already being garnished by another company and I looked on casenet in Missouri and it showed that a garnishment was issued against her but the code is different from what they use for wage garnishment. Its the code they used to garnish my bank account when I was served.
Major illness is why this got so bad. We have cleared out her bank account just in case it was against it.

legal aid hasNEVER helped me. & hes done lots of illegal things to me. legal aid TELLS ME TO TAKE LEGAL AID TO COURT do you understand that? cops have done lots of crimes to me also. cops tell me to get a lawyer too. da refuses to let me have any apt & well return my letters. i have phoned thousands of lawyers & ferms for years that i can not pay only to be told by lawyers to keep looking. state bazr refuses to even let me have any assistance of any kind & hangs up phone & tells me not to pnone for years. no one anywhere in the united states well give any assistance. i am kept out of postoffice for years whole year 2005 no latters addrested here were receaved . president phone # & presidents coment line phone # keep saying to fax email & write prtesiden & presidents lesisons which i havce so many many times for years. always with zero responce. no lawyer in this town well speak to me. i even get put in jail just for asking for a lawyer apt. cops WELL ME IF ARREST IF I PHONE MEDIA BACK

Judging by their arbitary use of suspend and delete through complaint, without asking the account holder, I believe youtube has shot itself in the foot. It would have been nice to see it act as an archive for the future. Would it be wrong to complain about EVERY video I think impinges copyright just so they lose peoples interest and becomes a dull and boring site that it will become anyway? in march of last year two employees that worked for me got arested. they called me ans asked if i would bring up there paychecks so they could get out. i ti the court house right at closing time, and the lady behinde the counter was in a hurry to leave, she took the cash said sighn here here and here and go get them next door. three months later i get a letter in the mail that they did not make there court date, and that the county had a judjment against me, for the remainder of there bail. nothing was said to me at the time i got them out that i was responsible for making sure they went to court, i just took them up there money.
i did not recieve any notice to show up in court, i recived was a judgment letter, what can i do. is this judgment going to show up on my credit report? some one told me the judgment is not binding, that i must be sued in my home court ( i am from illinois)
any ideas how i can get out of this, get it off my gredit report?
