is it illegal for a fourteen year old to go out with a 18 year old?
i think it might be i'm not sure...

my state is New Jersey. and by going out i mean dating nothing sexual.

for you being the 14 year old NO, but the eighteen year old YES...this is called statutory rape of a minor(Felony) and carries a very hefty jail sentence and also the label of sex offender for the rest of his life.

It's illegal for the 18 year old to have sex with the 14 year old. That's for sure. What do you consider "going out"?

To "go out" is not a crime.
. BUT, let me ask you this. What does an 18yr old man see in a 14yr old girl? He's not interested in your opinion on the elections or your view on the economy. How about you find someone closer to your own age and let him do the same. In the long run i'm sure it would be better for the both of you.

It's not illegal until any type of sexual activity happens. Then he's going to jail. 14 year olds should date in groups with kids their own age.

if you thinking just to date with no sex. then there is no law against dating. however since the 18 year old is legal, he can't have sex with the 14(a minor)
plus its just bad!

it is not illegal. Only if you two decide to have sex. But, I have also heard that if your parents find out about and they don't agree they can call the cops and get him arrested. So be careful!

it cold be a very big issue especially depends on how far they go.......if you are the 18 year old they find out the truth before you get cuffed and stuffed!!!!

Yes, one of my friends (My neighbor) is in jail for that and he's been in there for years. Only she was 13 and he was 19 and he was caught "doing things" to her.

It is never illegal to "go out" it would be illegal for them to have sex however
