I strongly disagree with the people that alway's asume that rape is a act of power, yes power is part of it i'm sure, but not all of it, since there has been many accurances in history where there was masses of rape, could we say every man that took part in a act of rape was looking just to over power someone, and surely they must get some sexual gratification out of it, from most victim's point of view rape is about power, but from the perpetrator's point of veiw i,d imagene it would be some what different.

Im sick of hearing this.......WAKE UP people. It's a violation of your liberty. Freedom is supposed to be your privilege in this supposed democracy, fight for it. When cctv and id technologies are fully integrated into our society as they nearly are, laws will be changed. If you step out of line e.g. drop some litter, you will be sent a fine directly to your house.
As for making society safer, give me a break. Where were the CCTV cameras at the airport given as evidence of the 9-11 hijackers, oh yes, they have gone missing. Where were the CCTV cameras for the London bombings, oh yes, every single one of them happened to be not working that day, what a coincidence.

Chopping off the genitals of male pedophiles. I don't think i would even go near i child if i was running the risk of having my genitals forcably removed. obviously rehab and a few years in prison aren't good enough deterents for today's pedophiles.

I was in France and it was nice to just be able to walk to be, I think it outwieghed the small benifits these laws have for small amount of people. It seems like one of those laws that are worst case scenerio ruins a big part of life for everyone.
Talk about freedom....

Me and other people at my school are going to do a sit-in to protest the war. I was wondering what to do during the sit in besides making posters and such. i would appreciate ideas becuase we want to be taken seriously by others and not just thought of as kids who just want to get out of class.

what if some guy became enraged at your girlfriend/ wife and you were not sure if he would hit her or not? What if he called her a slut? What if there was no witnesses? what if there was witnesses? what if the witnesses were his friends? And let's suppose you had a job where the public would frown on offenses such as assault for someone in your position such as a doctor, care for the elderly, child care, etc. You could even possible lose your job.
Keep in mind: You can be found guilty of assault and sent to jail if you fight. Also, verbally starting something usually ends up in physical fighting with these types of people.

What would you do in these different scenarios?
