you can get an apartment or place of your own at the age of 18 unless you have some gaurdianship papers that say otherwise.

A person under 18 can go to court, and become an emancipated minor. After age 18, a person can move out as long as they can find a landlord who will accept them as a tenant. If you have good credit, and a job which will pay the bills you can probably find an apartment to live in. If not, moving out and asking mommy and daddy to support you may not be the ideal course of action.
