Law & Ethics - January 2007

I'm in a court based program where the P.O. tells you you've only got 6 months. It's a school, but it's court based so you HAVE to go there. I'm capable of getting locked up EVERY SINGLE DAY. I HATE IT. There is more to this story so if you want to know more just IM me on AIM @ TxIvory1225. In order to leave successfully you have to get 7 full core credits at that school. This prgram was made by I believe 3 or 4 judges for teens who are having trouble in school and/or with the family. Turns out I have a learning disablilty in math. I've been in this program for 6 months total now, I really want to get out. I know it may not sound like sense now but like I said hit me up on AIM. What can I do in my situation? I'm 16, on probation for trying to get away from my PSYCO mother at first..now I'm in this progra that will help raise my credits up but also slow me behind because they can simply lock me up WHENEVER THEY WANT TO. They can lock you up for the dumbest reasons! Can i get out??

I heard that the drinking age is going up to 21!! Any one know anything about it.. and your views on it?

Also the Smoking Laws going up to 18..

What you all think? Is it just rumours or is it Def going to happen?

When all the Indian learn driving ? Never keep lane discipline. Never keep distance, If you keep distance some one else come and rub you to the side. Never have a bus lane . Too many Auto rickshow ,Over speeding by trucks,auto,bikes
Why can’t Govt stop production of all vehicles for 2 years . Why can’t Govt start teaching uneducated drivers the discipline on roads ? Anyway the Police is given license to all uneducated guys by taking money.

If an Ivy league top notch doctor had the ability to cure your cancer, would you care about the marital infedelities of the doctor's spouse? Why?
Do YOU bring your personal business and your marital woes to your job?

What about forgiveness and the shameful increasing divorce rate in our country. I am proud that she stuck it out and made it work instead of giving up on their marriage . Marriage is supposed to be for better and worse right?
She is also brilliant attorney and got into Yale on her own merit. WOW!

Is it still the same as was on the news a few months ago with the talk of prisons being full? If they are what will happen if you get sentenced?

Am in court on Wednesday and been told to expect a custodial as I already have a suspended sentence.

lots of studies have proved that rewarding good behaviour in the long term is much more effective that punishing bad behaviour but of course people that own cars should also be taxed more(and the money given to non drivers)

I was divorced from my childrens father in Michigan in 1999, at the time I was moving to Alabama and thought it in the best intrest not to uproot the children from everything familiar. I moved back up north about a 2 hour drive from where they were living about a year later. He calledtold me the kids wated to live with me and he would allow it but he wouldn't sign over custody. We went on like this for some time until one day he decided to keep my son. I told him I'd fight for custody or we could come to an agreement. The agreement we decidedon is I would get custody of our daughter and he would keep custody of our son. We moved back to our home town shortly after this to be close to Aaron (my son) which would allow for easy visitation. Shortly after thishe move to Illinois. About 6 months after his he called me and said Aaron wanted to live with me and he would sign over custody if I would agree to sign paperwork saying he would'nt have to pay child support.

PLEASE READ PART 1 FiRST! THANKS!
I agreed and now have sole custody of both children. I moved my family to Texas about 3 years ago and Their father has hardly contacted them at all at most 2-3 times a year. Hit or miss on holidays and birthdays. Recently I filed for and have been granted child support. Now he is filing for custody, saying I am unfit because I am on disability for bipolar disorder. I do have this illness but I am treating it and I can take care of day to day life. My home is clean, my kids are well fed and dressed and they are happy well adjusted children for the most part. neither child wants to move in with Dad they are 15 and 11. I am getting remarried in A few weeks I am so upset and I'm sure I left out so many details , but I could go on for days with all the details, now you at least have an idea. Please any input on how this will go.....

We live in mass and it seems like no matter what you do you can't truly rehabilitate-he is incredibly smart and such a good person-you would never know he had a past-its the typical story of being a product of poverty and not really having a choice...does anyone know any advocasy organazations or websites or anyplace you can refer us to for info on this? its soo discouraging-i mean why do people think a record is the only way to know someone-the world is filled with pediphiles,criminals and morally corrupt people that may not have a black mark on their record by chance but destroy everything they touch. I would appreciate any feedback-please don't give me any negative or judgmental comments I don't want the discouragment please...thanx so much!!

I live in an apt building and have a idiot above me for a neighbor. Loud noises all times of night, heavy stomping etc, running through the apt and such after midnite, etc...My question is, I am moving due to his actions as well as some of his friends he has over. Can he be sued for moving expenses and/or the increase in rent I will be paying? There is also harrasement on his and his friend part which is on tape. The location is Maryland. Thanks

bag she was carrying. She didn't seem to notice so I parked, picked it up and caught up with her. She was talking on her cellphone and, not wanting to disturb her, I patiently waited for her conversation to be over.
It didn't immediately register when I heard her say 'Just a minute. There's some pervert here I've got to get rid of.' As I started to look around to see who she was talking about I got Maced.
I stumbled back to my car and got out of there.
Apparently she wrote down my plate number because the cops showed up the next day to talk to me. I told my story and they seemed happy. I wasn't arrested. When they asked me if I still had the purse I told them I had dropped it. That wasn't true. I still had it. I still do.
I'm of the opinion that if she wants it back the woman needs to come to me and apologize for being a trigger happy *****. My wife says I should give it back without any conditions. All I want is an apology. Its not like I'm asking for anything excessive

Last year when Katrina hit, a friend of my in Holland was planning on comming back to America. She has no family other than her 3 children. Her church along with th egoverment were goin to help her relocate...than Katrina struck stopping all funds to help. 2 of her children were held from her by the father(a police) during thier reg. Summer vacation. Due to Katrina, she was now for the first time seperated from her children. So during the summer 2006 with the supposed help of her LDS church...promising her to help get an attourny, fine her a sheeltor safe for her and her 1 child. After all the talk and convincing to the dutch father, that it would be good for her and the child to go and reunite with the other 2. . It never worked like that for her...they sent her to a sheltor all right called the Shade tree. Asheltor for abused and homeless women. She had a 3 bdrm home and was working. She gave it all up in belief she had a church family who thought only of the best.
