If you possess a law degree: Had the cop felt something illegal in his pocket (remember his hand was in his pocket) , would that evidence stand in court considering he had neither probable cause nor a search warrant?

Recently I was in Atlanta, while I was there my cousins decided to take me out to see a movie. Outside of the movie theater there was a lot of people just hanging out waiting for their movie start. So while we were waiting a young man, wearing a yellow bandanna hanging out of his pocket, approaches the box office with his date to buy tickets. When he turns around to walk away one of the cops on detail walks up to him and sticks his hand in his pocket to confiscate the bandanna.

I brought this up with the people around me, and the general consensus was ''So what? He's only a gangbanger. If the cop found something, he deserves to go to jail anyways". My beliefs are that he is also an American and as such he is protected by the bill of rights. The same way that they violated him, they could also violate you.

What are your thoughts on this?

This is a two part question, but I'm out of room so I will link to the second part of this in a couple of minutes.

I recently had to appear in court for a serious traffic violation and the attorney that I had hired (and used previously) recently had been appointed to a political seat. I feel like I was misrepresented in the case and dont feel like I was tried fairly. His politcal seat seemed to take presidence over my court case.? How do I know that he did his job and wasn't to busy on his newly appointed power trip?

What I mean by out of my control is;
Gets loose (collar snaps off etc) and runs off and gets hit by or car or something, or if it gets loose and runs away and I am not a fast runner, and wouldn 't beable to take down a big dog.

Getting off on hiding behind a keyboard and insulting
people. Someone should draw the line.
Just like driving your car. You're given your license
to drive, not run over people.

My husband was about to sign up for disability and hospital stay insurance but the insurance guy gave us the run around. All my husband had to do was sign the paperwork. The insurance guy told him he was going to write everything up and that he was going to stop by in the next couple of days. Well, we left several messages on his phone and even told him that some of the other co-workers would like to sign up too. He never called back or came by. One of the co-workers gave him a call and was told also that he would have the papers ready in a couple of days and that he would stop by. Well, my husband suffered a heart attack in the meantime. We contacted the insurance company directly to find out about any chances of them covering any of the cost. They denied since they didn't receive the application. However, turns out that the insurance agent is in big trouble now and they sent someone else out to take care of the applications. Do we have a chance suing them?

..."tag not to be removed except by consumer".

Okay, so if my friend bought a pillow and I ripped the tags off, does this mean that I could be punished because I am not the consumer of this pillow?

My Father's will leaves his home equally to my older step-sister and I. Stating that it is to sold and divided equally. We both are disabled; she receives social security disability, I don't. I am his natural daughter. She is not. She has never lived in this home. I have lived with my father in this home for the last 30 years and it is my childhood home. What rights, if any, do I have to live the rest of my life in this home after my father dies?

I know what the antiques dealer is trying to say that putting a homless man in front of a high class antiques shop is going to make him loose business. I wouldn't have spent that much money because the homeless man is telling me that I don't really need this expensive stuff, especially since this man doesn't have a job or a home and I do.

But exactly how is this man suposed to pay 1 mil if he can't afford it? They can't take nothing away from him and/or make him sell it. He has nothing?

Sure he could get a job but, it won't be enough. Minimum wage won't be able to pay of 1 mil.

Maybe he could have thought of another solution.
