goes on in the home. Spanking should not be your primary form of discipline for any child no matter their age. But an occasional swat on the seat of the problem does wonders. But the question is does the government have a right to decide what you do in the privacy of your home? Does the government have the right to say how you choose to discipline your child? Of course you do not have the right to beat your child senseless or to cause bodily injury these things are wrong and we all know this. But what about the occasional spanking, does the government have the right to say we may not spank or do they need to stay out of our homes.

If an illegal uses your SS# for work, the money is placed in a general usage fund....for our great leaders....of both parties.

Furthermore, Social Security WILL NOT contact you about this fraud. It's covered under the privacy act &^%*^&

I know you can have a non smoking building, but this one appears you are not allowed to be a smoker at all.

I am not looking to rent, i came across it the other day in the paper and i was just curious. Seems like it would be discrimination to me.

thanks

As I understand it, any original material posted on the internet is legally copyrighted by the original poster of that material. Would this apply to information posted in forums? If I wanted information deleted, such as an essay or story, could I force the owner of the forums to delete them if I'm unable to? What about posts that quote my original post?

Hi to all, I have been working at a hotel as a front desk agent for about 3 years now. I was hired as full time and i have always worked my 40 hours, anyway this new manager who has been here for 2 months now is terrible, he cut down my hours to only 1-2 days per week, because he said that there can only be one person at the desk in the mornings, anyway he only puts me on sat and sun am. and how am i supposed to take my 1/2 break that is required here in mass. I have to hurry up to go to the bathroom and eat really fast in the back and I cant even sit for 5 min. We had a meeting 2 days ago and I told him isn't it requiered by law for you to give us a 1/2 hours break if we work 8 hours shift?? he said in a really rude way " This does not apply for the hotel industry. So I told him him that I would call the workers rights, and he said " Well call them then. and tell them to call me! He is very mean and being very unfair to some people wich includes me? what shoul I do?

I checked with police and they said there is no policy on these "toy" sonic weapons, so I guess they must be legal, i think...

Why is it so difficult to purchase one of these, or the small electronics kits (to make one)? After all, how powerful can it be at like $350?

Is there some type of legal reason why these are tough to find or buy?

The Bush Admin seems to think many fundamental rights don't exist because they are not spelled out. The 6th Amendment states"“In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed … and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; [and] to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses.” The MCA CAN be applied to Americans. The MCA states “Any person is punishable as a principal under this chapter who commits an offense punishable by this chapter, or aids, abets, counsels, commands, or procures its commission,” according to the law, passed by the Republican-controlled Congress in September and signed by Bush on Oct. 17, 2006. - That mean ANY PERSON. This will grant Bush unchecked power over people he identifies as enemies. If you think this does not apply to American citizens - think again !

This idea was actually offered by Dinah on another question that I asked. She suggests purchasing a large peice of land, barracading it off so that no one can escape, building housing on it and sending every prisoner in the country there. (Separating the sexes) There would be no laws or law enforcement. They would be free to do whatever to whoever.

That's her idea, but I wouldn't send a slight offender there, only the bad ones.

I think it would be hell on earth and we'd have people thinking twice before they commit crimes unlike nowadays, when they get taken care of, they get better medical benefits than most of us get and free education and recreational activities in prison. It would also cut down on our costs of supporting them and guarding them.

Cons : the worst that would happen is that there would be a spike in death overdoses of people experimenting for the first time. After that things would go back to normal not significantly more "high" people than before.
Pros:
Cheap drugs would mean crazed addicts will not steal your car, mug you or burglarize your home or murder you for a few $$$.
Society would save at least 50% (conservative estimate) on jailing prisoners (80% of prisoners are there for drug related charges)
Society. would save on court costs
Society would save on military costs since a huge part of terrorism is financed through drug trafficking profits.
We would save the lifes of our soldiers specially in Afghanistan where the Taliban pays $12 a day to its recruits with drug money while the Government of that country can only afford $ 4 a day
