I need reparation from the money France took from my country Haiti, If it wasnt for them, I am 100% such my country wouldnt be in the shape it is right now, and The UN wouldnt have to pay millions and millions of dollare to fight poverty

Heres the facts: After the revolution in Haiti from slavery, Haiti was force to pay 150 million francs to reconize their independence (that was in 1805 or so, so thats worth a couple billions) I would like to see any country in the world with the same economic volume than Haiti to survive from this lost. We have been raped and I want reparation.

This ditch was built without an easement and the easement was obtained after. All the neighbors have signed but I havent. What can I do? It looks really bad and will cause MORE flooding problems. All of my neighbors also agree with me, but if they speak their mind to the city, they will not get their street plowed in the winter. What do i do!

A buddy of mine has a 2 year old little boy. It looks like he and his girlfriend won't be getting back together and that a custody battle is coming. She has told him that a paternity test is a required part of the process. How can that be if presumably nobody is contesting that he is the biological father? Does Missouri law actually require this, or is this her way of saying that a possibility exists that he really isn't the father? The little guy has his last name and he's been living with him all along. All this has him wondering now, and he's probably going to get a test regardless. I just find it hard to believe state law requires this unless
1. a man denies he is the father,
2. someone else comes forward claiming to be the father, or
3. the mother believes a man isn't the biological father
Can somebody shed some light on this?

I just moved into an apartment two months ago, and I've been getting mail for someone who I'm assuming was the previous tenant. The return addresses for some indicate they are from an insurance company, another was a federal letter from social security, and there's a tax return document among others. I was throwing out what looked like junk mail with their name, but this seems important. I have no way of contacting the person, and they have not sent anything or had me contacted to retrieve the mail. I'm sure they dont know it's coming here. Is there somewhere I can take it or have it sent so someone can get it to them? Or should I just throw it out??

me and my exhusband have been seperated for 20 months, we have been divorced for 7. (yes, that is how long it took me to serve him) he has not paid one dime in child support, his amount was determined 17 months ago by the courts. i was supposed to get every even year for income taxes unless he did not pay child support. MY REAL QUESTION IS, if he files for income taxes and claims our child, can he receive the child deduction and get money for her, if i have already claimed her??? that does not seem right that he should get money for claiming a child that he has never paid child support on. please help, thanks

i propose that everyone write their congressmen with this plan. De-criminalize all drugs. that should go a long way in running gangs out of business.

I am thinking of building a personal website that collects all my favorite links (such as lawguru.com, bestbuy.com, nolo.com, and so on). Initially, this may be an intent for my own reference (just like bookmarks on the go).

Since the site is accessible to everyone on the net, should it be a concern of possible copyright infringment or defamation? note that there are some litigations about this issues in the past.

Regards

I'll be ok, i have 4 gunshot wounds to my arm, nothing serious. I need a peaceful way to tell them i did not do this. I shot back at them and managed to hit one of the 3 guys 7 times in the leg, before i got back in my car and went to my friends house. My friend helped me get the bullets out of my left arm, and i'm still in critical condition, but i'll just have to suck on that till i can get out of this house and go to the hospital without them shooting at me again. My friend i was with when i was shot says theirs more of them now, what should i do?

I'm moving in with a friend, but it may not happen because of issues with laws. They say they have to get a lawyer and go to court and have my mother's house inspected before they can give custody to my friend's parents? My mother's perfectly okay with all this because moving in with them will give me a chance to go to a great school in a different state, but we don't know the details and it probably won't happen if there's all that to worry about.
So what are the actual rules about this kind of thing?

I tuly feel that some should get psych-test every year so that
they don't feel unattached to protect and serve the people
with the community they work in.what ever happen to the old
cops that would help teens with that old speech ... "Son don't
