Definitely. He would be the best person. More than that, should you pre-decease him having placed someone else as executor, it would make him very bitter and angry.

In a sense, your spouse will be anyway. The surviving spouse inherits everything, unless, you have a will that specifies that certain things are to be given to certain persons. If you do not entirely trust your spouse to do what is right, then you should appoint someone to be the executor of your will and name then in your will as that, then file your will with your lawyer. By law your spouse will be the executor of your will. But if you have any adult children you may want to specify second in line in case something happens to both of you.

I would say no, unless you have minor children that your spouse will be caring for, or you have no children and all that is yours will belong to the spouse upon your passing.

No, I would get an out side party for that job. It will cut down on the fighting that happens after you pass away.

I would say no Co`s i would think she`d be in to much of a state to do anything(she`d be in mourning) get a close or family friend to do it or your lawyer

its easier besides in the long run they not only know all of your wishes, but are your executioner as well!:-)
