if you kill somone on accident its not murder. and ofcourse they are both bad. thats not the question.

2007-01-21 13:30:54 · update #1

ofcourse I like any sane human am not planning to commit either crime against nature.

I might point out that both could be viewed as somewhat natural since the two behaviors are engaged in by many different species.

I asked because I have always been especiallt bothered by rape and I was wondering how many people feel like that. Not that I think murder is right or ok.

I guess I'd say out of everyone that is murdered probably at least some deserved it but out of everyone who has been raped no one ever deserved it. ofcourse no kids deserve either.

I think raping someone is worse.

When a person is raped, it is a physical and emotion violation of that person's rights. The victim will forever live with the thought that it was provoked somehow and the victim's fault (rape is never the victim's fault). It can take many years and many broken relationships for the victim to forgive themselves for what has happened and to move on with their lives. That said, many victims turn to suicide to try and cope with the pain that they suffer. Some victims can become abusers of alcohol, drugs or prostitues. They may go on to abuse any children they may have or their partners.

This is a very touchy subject. How can one decide what's worse? Rape or murder. This is more of an opinion question and cannot be answered so simply.

Rape: # noun: the crime of forcing a woman to submit to sexual intercourse against her will
# verb: force (someone) to have sex against their will

Murder: # noun: unlawful premeditated killing of a human being by a human being
# verb: kill intentionally and with premeditation

I take it you are going by these definitions, right? Well, keep in mind that there are different "degrees" of murder.

1. First Degree Murder: All premeditated murders, and (in some states) murders involving certain especially dangerous felonies, such as arson or rape, or committed by an inmate serving a life sentence.
2. Second Degree Murder: Any felony murder not a first degree murder.
3. Third Degree Murder: All other murder.

Then you can't forget man-slaughter, which is: the crime of killing a person without intention to do so.
And what about something in self defense?

Murder is, once again, a very touchy topic. Rape is almost always intentional. Even if the person is drunk and doesn't remember, it's considered a felony and the person is arrested. But murder is a lot more sensitive than that. You can plead insanity or self-defense with the chance of getting away with it.

I am not a lawyer, so I can't completely answer this question. But that's the best I've got. I hope it helped. (and this is an answer for assult against adults. children is even MORE sensitive than this)

Depends. Are you talking about the victum or the victim's family? For the victim I'd say rape is worse because it can really mess someone up, but if they are dead then it won't matter so much to that person. Now, if you are talking about the family then I'd say murder BC it puts a lot of stress and sadness on a family. Some people can't accept that a loved one has died and it can turn their whole life around. Plus, when someone you love is murdered your first reaction is revenge. That can only make the situation worse, especially if the person carries out their revenge.

I would go with both but look at the options you gave us. Rape would be worse because the child and family will always remember this. But murder would be bad to because then the family would lose a love one and this child will never have the chance to grow up. But then I have to wonder why would you ask this question if your thinking of doing one of them I hope you change your mind and get help. But then if you did do it I hope your but rots in jail.

Murder. We only get once chance at this life, at least with rape, the victim has a chance to experience the rest of their life.

rape because if they are raped they have to live with it for the rest of their lives and feel worthless. Rape is very hard to handle for most children. Murder is better because you don't need to deal with the pain and torture that they more than likely will give you if they don't murder you

In my humble opinion, six of one, and half a dozen of the other. They are both heinous crimes, especially on children, and in some localities, subject to the death penalty or life imprisonment.

Wow, that's a tough question... I have to go with rape. If they aren't caught, a murderer may never murder again, but a rapist WILL rape again.

They both are bad. Because they affect both the victim and their families.
