I, the mother, live in Alabama. The father lives in Florida. I recently got married and am now a stay-at-home mom, while he has nothing to do with our child. My husband has been supporting us quite well, but I think it's a little unfair that my child's father just stays out partying without a care in the world. My husband would like to adopt our child (I hope I'm not confusing you too much!), but the paternal father won't give up rights. Is there a way I could threaten him with backpay of child support, plus current support, hoping to scare him into giving up rights, or would he get out scott-free as he's not working?

I work in the front office at a steel manufacturer. Our safety director says that we cannot keep aspirin to give out if needed because of osha. But we give out ibuprofen and first aid creams and sprays? what's the difference? I'm only wondering b/c I know that if someone is having a heart attack, you should give them aspririn. Any thoughts would be helpful.

Is it not realized that there are females out there that also prey on small children. I have seen many questions and answers that seem to assume all sexual predators are men. Am I the only one who notices this?

Im not sure what can an attorney can do for me in this case. Well, the car is not mine and I had no idea about the insurance...

I want to talk to an attorney about the case. Would it cost me any money? I want to find out what can they do for me before deciding to hire them.

I posed a question about Hussein and was given a comment as to whether it was just for him to be put to death. I posted this remark, and would liike your reactions:

About life in prisonment verses death penalty. I had a minor infraction of the law and spent a few months in jail resolving the matter. I met one guy who was still a detriment or even a danger to practically everyone who was in jail there, and he showed no remorse whatsoever for the people he physically hurt (he had a long sentence, and nothing to lose in hurting still more people in jail).

The Old Testament sanctioned the death penalty for people who would have a detremental effect on the rest of the population, either by endangering them or being a bad influence.

Even people with misdomeanor offenses, or low end felonies who are on their way to returning to their lives on the outside deserve protection from creeps like Saddam Hussein - even if he has to be put to death to stop his terror.

We purchased a home in costal MS through a reputable realtor. Our realtor did a close inspection of the property and seen no major defects. Due to the lack of home inspectors and the length of time involved to have one come out we opted not to have one done since our mortgage would time out first.

Here are the issues we have found :
-vents in the LR, DR & kitchen are not connected to heat & A/C
-Bathroom floods badly
-heat pump is supposed to be 8 months old and is much older and need new blower motor

Cost of all repairs is almost $13,000 (2 bids) the BR being the worst the slab need elevated or the yard needs completely re-graded.

Disclosure mentioned none of these says no defects AC new all SQ footage is heat & cooled. The sellers daughter was at closing & later mentioned the BR flooding then called us and mentioned it again. They need us to sign FEMA papers for them and we have refused until this is resloved.

We have tried to resolve this nicely and they refuse.

I was at a new years party to celebrate the new year and I had a chance to make out and have sex with a girl, but I didn't jump on the opportunity because I was worried that I can be charged with rape. She was obviously drunk, but still coherent. I was also as drunk as she was. We talked and then I put my hand around her. Then we started to kiss. She tried to do more, but I didn't let her because I wasn't sure if something like could get me jail time.
Is it a Crime to have sex with a girl that has had to much to drink. How much does see have to drink in order to not be able to consent to having sex. What happens if both people are drunk.

I recently had a prescription filled at a local Walgreens where I live. I went on vacation out of state. I ordered refills for the same prescription to a local Walgreens where I was vacationing. The original prescription allowed for 3 refills. When I came back from vacation I wanted to get another refill from the Walgreens where I originally had it filled, however, I was told that one can not transfer the prescription 2 times as it was against the law and I would have to drive 700 miles to pick it up!

This seems strange and quite annoying. Is this accurate? Is this useful somehow?

My children are court ordered to see there father. My youngest daughter is scared of him and cries and he still makes her go.I have called social services and they dont think there is any reason to investigate. Then in september she fell off the monkey bars at the park in his care and had to have 3 surgeries. The dr said she would never be able to straighten out her arm again. Well her father pulled it out straight, causing it to pop.I called social services and they said there was no reason to investigate.I called her dr.. andhe said it wasnt nessasary to bring her in because it wasnt mis shapened or hurting.I am so frustrated and worried about my daughters. But no one seems to listen or care.I dont want anything else to happen! And I refused to let them visit over christmas. So I figure I will be getting a court notice soon..possibly contempt.Do You think I am over reacting?
