feel sick even at the thought of torture or the death penalty? is it normal?

I feel the same...when someone brutally kills someone, and when the state executes someone. Since the death penalty isn't applied straight across the board for ALL those convicted of murder (ie...2 people kill someone. 1 turns state's evidence against the other in exchange for a lighter sentence. Or a killer shows them where the bodies are in exchange for a life sentence. The whole application of the death penalty is unjust.) It should be for all, or for none. And since the state relies heavily on other's incriminating statements to convict, it will NEVER be all. So, the dealth penalty is unjust...and so is the killing in the first place but it all blows my mind.

I think it is normal. Most people, before they are tortured or killed probably feel very uncomfortable in their stomach. There just seems to be something permanent about death and that scares people.

I'm sure its normal. Maybe you're just very sensitive.
Don't take this the wrong way...
There are probably many people that are like that. I have a problem with watching some boring uninteresting movie on TV in the afternoon, it immediately makes my head hurt.

Its because you were raised w/ the christian values that all life is precious... Nothing wrong w/ that... Unfortunately Muslims believe that torture and death is necessary... If they believed as you do, then we never would have had to have this war....
