I have been working for my company for nearly a year and a half now. When hired I was hired with the understanding that I was off on Sundays for church and church volunteering. Recently in the past several months my company backed out on that deal and is practically telling me if I wanna keep my job I will work the Sundays they schedule me. Even with this weeks upcoming schedule I said I had to be off for church and I was told that I couldn't have it off because my manager and another employee (his friend) were taking off for a birthday party. I'm known at my corporate human resources as 'church boy'. I feel my religious views are being brushed aside and not taken in to consideration. I don't know what to do. Any help would be amazing. Take care and God bless.

It seems to me that if you are going to raise the age of when you can buy tobacco it would also be logical to raise the age when you can have sexual intercourse.

At a March 1925 international birth control gathering in New York City, a speaker warned of the menace posed by the "black" and "yellow" peril. The man was not a Nazi or Klansman; he was Dr. S. Adolphus Knopf, a member of Margaret Sanger's American Birth Control League (ABCL), which along with other groups eventually became known as Planned Parenthood.

Sanger's other colleagues included avowed and sophisticated racists. One, Lothrop Stoddard, was a Harvard graduate and the author of The Rising Tide of Color against White Supremacy. Stoddard was something of a Nazi enthusiast who described the eugenic practices of the Third Reich as "scientific" and "humanitarian." And Dr. Harry Laughlin, another Sanger associate and board member for her group, spoke of purifying America's human "breeding stock" and purging America's "bad strains."

Hello,

I'd like to know whether an employer can force an employee to give their name over the telephone to callers while working on a telephone reception line. I beleive that it is in conflict with the data protection act where it is down to the individual to have the choice whether they divulge personal information ( In this case their name) to a third party.
I had a nasty experiene some years ago where a gang of youths found out my home address from my name badge and came after me when I reported one of 'the gang' to the police after an incident with a firearm. I have a very unusual surname!

Thanks for any help which would be great if backed up by solid legislation

To any lawyers outhere, my attorney filed papers with the county court. The case settled outside court, but he is passing the filing fees to me plus he is taking 40% of my settlement because he said, because he filed the papers with court it's now considered that we actually went to court. Is that right? To me he should take the 30% not 40%.

Do you believe that the it is a violation of our civil rights when the government only allows protests in free speech zones? (This is not aimed at any particular protest. I just read about free speech zones in a local newspaper.)

While sitting in my front room I noticed a party developing on New Years eve afternoon, when all of a sudden everyone scattered just before a small blue hatchback car pulled to the curb with the drivers door next to the curb. The driver, wearing a white head band and a white tee shirt opend the driver's door, as he put his left foot on the street, he reached into the slot on the door and pulled out a white plastic bag. Holding it in his left hand he approached one of my neighbors and they went into my neighbors house. Approximately, a couple of hours later, one of the neighbor's wife made a sign toward my wife and my direction with the finger beside her nose. I don't have anything to do with my neighbors because they are hot headed red necks and drug addicts. At this point I am ignoring the situation, the last time I reported it to the corona police, the police sarcastically ask me if I had any friends in the neighbor hood? I'm starting to distrust the police in Corona.

The company responsible for collecting refuse in my area consistently misses my trash can. Despite numerous calls to their office, I'm often left with my garbage until the next time they pick it up, or to haul it down to the local dump myself. Since they seem uncooperative to alleviate my problem, I've started deducting missed pick-ups from the bill they send me.

They didn't much care for this, and despite cashing my check, don't even pick up my garbage at all. Complaints to my local government also appear to be ignored, in that the go unanswered. Hence, as my revenge, I collected my last two-weeks worth of garbage and took it down to the collection agencies main office. I then dumped it in their lobby and vacated the premises. Given what I've been through, it seemed the best recourse.

Did he deserve to die? Hell yes!
Was his trial and execution handled with due diligence? THAT is the question.

Yes, he was guilty of crimes against humanity. But was it too much to ask that the man be found guilty and his sentence declared by the World Court? Am I crazy, or is that not the correct procedure???

Furthermore, the man was hung on Eid - what kind of muslims sentence a man to die like that on Eid??? I can tell you what kind - muslims (if Shia's can EVEN call themselves that) who have sold their souls.

Below is the perspective from a lot of people outside the US:
The man was "judged" by a group of people who had a crash course in how-to-run-a-trial. Basically, it was a mockery - Street justice disguised as a trial conducted by the Iraqis. If the Americans executed him, the backlash from the rest of the world would have been huge. It was really convenient that the Iraqis hung him (and many people believe it was because the US government was pressuring them).Views?

Ok, I live in Texas, and my boyfriend of 7 years is leaving me and our 1 year old son. We have lived together for seven years and share the same bank account. Three years ago he bought a car for me in his name, I am not a co-signer. The payments have come from our joint bank account where both my and his paycheck is deposited. Now, whenever he wants to be evil, he takes the car away from me...won't let me use it to get to work, nothing. He says I have no rights to the car, that it is only his. I completely depend on this car for my and my son's wellbeing. Do I really not have any sort of rights to this vehicle????

These girls threw 5 Christmas (pine) trees out in front of my house I have no idea what I am going to do with them I told my dad that I would go take them to my friends storage lot and we will just dump them in the dumpster there but he said that that is illegal and we cant get caught doing that because we will get fined. I live in Michigan and I was just wondering if there is a law prohibiting this or can I get fined for doing it.
