The company responsible for collecting refuse in my area consistently misses my trash can. Despite numerous calls to their office, I'm often left with my garbage until the next time they pick it up, or to haul it down to the local dump myself. Since they seem uncooperative to alleviate my problem, I've started deducting missed pick-ups from the bill they send me.
They didn't much care for this, and despite cashing my check, don't even pick up my garbage at all. Complaints to my local government also appear to be ignored, in that the go unanswered. Hence, as my revenge, I collected my last two-weeks worth of garbage and took it down to the collection agencies main office. I then dumped it in their lobby and vacated the premises. Given what I've been through, it seemed the best recourse.

Oh, you are a Naughty Scotsman! That's hilarious. Way to go! And, yes, you may be in a bit of trouble, but I really admire you. I think they can only make you pay what you owe them.

Well, it probably made you feel better to do that, but you could be fined for illegal dumping, littering, or some such nonsense.
I've been in a similiar situation and flatly cancelled and found an alternative method of waste management. However, that isn't always an option. I'm not sure who provides your service-if its through the city by contract to outside company, i'd contact the city and let them know of your problem and efforts to get it set straight and see if they can help. if thats not how it works- then you'll have to go as high up as possible with the trash collector. if they are unhelpful in resolving the situation, tell them you'll be contacting the better business bureau and do that

Yes, quite likely. Is it possible there is a competing garbage collection service that you could switch to that might provide better service. If not, I would call the county clerks office and ask them how to file a formal complaint against this company.
Regarding your vandalism of their offices (which is what I would call dumping your garbage there) you should probably call them and try to speak to the manager to apologize profusely, humbly explain why you did what you did and ask them if your differences can be resolved and you can regular service restored. If the manager is not available to speak to you on the phone, you should get their name and send a letter return receipt addressed to them. Maybe they won't file a police complaint against you.

You can be arrested for you actions. Instead of getting angry and hauling your trash to various places, why not just change your garbage removal service? There is no law that states you have to use a business with a company if they are not willing to provide you the service you have paid for. There is no reason for all this madness. Change your trash pick-up. Thank you and good luck.

There is usually not alot of communication between the people that work in the office and the men who actually drive the trucks you should try talking to them next time you see them go by. The office workers could give a hooping funt less about your trash and probabley dont relay any messages to th actual drivers.

Oh, uhm, yes, you could get into a little trouble. They could charge you with a misdemeanor. Worst case scenario, you'll have to pay a fine though. Love it! Good for you, standing up for yourself, just be prepared for some consequences.

You've got balls, that's for sure!!! I'm sure there's a regional/state authority to take your case to. If you're being charged for a service that isn't rendered, that's fraud - and that's illegal.
