During the holidays, there are people that stand outside of stores ringing bells, encouraging people to throw money into their red kettles. After walking out of a store, I had noticed one of these people. I walked over to them, stood beside them and sang the song "My Ding-A-Ling", as people walked by. Tried as I might, I couldn't get anyone else to join in on the chorus of the song, but as soon as I finished the last verse, some police officers grabbed me and threw me in the back of a squad car. What did I do wrong?

He's a crusader for "getting the bad guy." Like so many from the past, a bad guy is merely someone Jack McCoy has decided is guilty, and he bends the law a bit too much for my liking. Evidence is one thing, interpretation is something else, entirely. There actually are some innocent people wrongly accused. But the masses are mollified by believing that they are safe because someone has been punished for the crime.

Anytime I phone Domino's for a pizza they ask a load of personal questions like "where do you live?" and "what do you want to eat?"

I really don't see how this is any of their business and I find it upsetting. Do you think I would be successful if I filed a lawsuit against them?

If I lied to my parents and says I was hanging out with another 16 year girl and hung out with my guy friend and I got caught, would it be considered by law a kidnapping? ok there is a lot of arguments going on about the anti-piracy claims and stuff like the riaa sueing and the mpaa sueing. if they made the law how r they allowed to do stuff aginst it, like sueing people for downloading it and uploading it to the internet. i thought it was only piracy if you download and ditribute it for a profit. and P2P apps people are just downloading for free and not selling it. why do they say it's illegal. i do use P2P fileshareing and bittorrent clients, but i'm not selling the stuff.

Faced with certain impeachment, Nixon resigned on August 9th, 1974, but before he did he chose Gerald Ford to take his place, He did this because he knew he could count on Ford to pardon him of all the charges that were pending against him. Fords first official act was to pardon Nixon. Ford was one of our worst presidents and did nothing , save make a fool of himself.

So, our government had decided to raise the minimum wage from $6.75 to $7.75/hr. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? And I usually get paid $7.85/hr since 2006, which made me feel a lot better because I didn't wanna make at a minimum wage amount. Since the minimum wage amount has gone up, what is the difference? It will only cause more inflation right? And all the prioce for everything else will go up too, e.g. GAS, FOOD, CLOTHES, and ETC.!

I bought a ticket and paid for it by a credit card in CA; within a few minutes, I realized I could not make it to the flight so I cancelled my ticket. The operator who did both transactions told me that my money has been refunded to my credit card but couldn't give me a reciept confirming that. I'm woindering if there is a law in the US, or CA, requiring each party to provide reciepts for the amounts they have charged/refunded the other parties.
