No, the bodies certainly are not taken out of the caskets after the family leaves. Where would we put these hundreds of bodies if we were taking them out? Let's think about that for a moment. And yes, cemeteries definitely do get full and then they no longer accept burials there.

No, cemeteries are generally only filled with a preset number of plots. Once that number is met, the cemetery becomes full. I wouldn't think that they could put people on top of other people, at least I hope not. A cemetery may also be bound by law to leave the body in the casket, removing the body may leave the cemetery open to major legal issues.

It is against the law. The little bit of land is purchase as a burial lot. It cannot be sold again. I am sure that it has happened or it wouldn't be on the law books. I think cremation is the best way to go anyway. Just throw my ashes in the sea after I am gone. No worries about burial plots for my family.

Grave diggers have been burying people on top of people for years. Burying people is also not the most sanitary way of disposing a body and this is one good reason people should consider cremation.

at some cemetaries they do stack 'em up. I worked at a National cemetary where they did this and I saw them stacked three and four high ( or would it be deep?)
