I'm in a business law class and need to write a research paper on a legal issue that affects business... I have no idea where to start. He hasn't formally assigned the paper yet but will tomorrow, and expects the outline due Friday morning. I have no idea where to start. Any ideas? (Thanks in advance!)

Everyday, so many people end up in hospitals or worse, in graveyards thanks to smoking. Its our tax dollars that pay for this. Should we send those health bills to big tobacco companies? Should all people who smoke be asked to pay more taxes. Even better, should they be disqualified from Medicare benefits?

My boyfriend wants his car back after two years of his wife driving it. It's paid for and in his name. He left her and they've been seperated for two years now. Now she's hidden the car and won't let him have it. If he knows where it is, is he legally allowed to go and take/steal it if the title is in his name although she's still legally his wife and she's been driving it for the past two years.

I have an ex-employee who quit voluntarily. I disagreed very respectfully with her beliefs in a particular matter. Since then, I was told by 2-3 of my clients that she had made contact with them, and made completely false and deragatory statements about me. These statements are not small things. They are huge, false accusations that are made to destroy my reputation. What can I do?

I want to get my driver license but I've had some problems in the past. I was 15 and I didn't have a license. A cop stopped me and gave me a ticket. I went to court and never paid my fines. Then I got in an accident and still no license I was 15. I never showed at court. Then when I was 17 I went and got my ID with no problem I was told by people that I could probably get arrested I didn't. So now it's been almost five years and I've called to see if I have any kind of warrants or fines and they can't find anything but I'm still afraid to go and try to get my license. What should I do in this situation?

I live in Washington state and will soon be 16. I know that I can't file for emancipation until I'm 16. I also know that I need a job and that I have to prove I can manage my own financial affairs. I don't get along with my parents at all and haven't for years now. I'm court ordered to go to counceling and my councelor says that I'm depressed because of my parents. I have a friend that will soon be 18 and out of her house, we are planning on getting an apartment and splitting the rent. I would be attending school still, and I'm working on bringing my grades up before second semester starts. What are my chances of the courts signing for me to become emancipated?

this is a hypothetical question - I do watch the BBC but would happily not do so if it meant not having to pay the license.

You choose which Sky channels you pay for so why do we have to pay for the BBC whether we want it or not? so the government can try and control what we watch as well as what we say, where we work, how much we eat, smoke, exercise, drink etc?!

I was pulled over the other day and hadn't yet paid my registration on my new car. It had been past the thirty one day paper plate period. Needless to say I got a ticket for no registration and was sent on my way. I got my car registered the next day. I was wondering if I could take my registration to the hearing and it be dismissed or should I just pay the $125 and be done with it?

Every day we see people flaunting our laws with no fear of prosecution. Is this because the police are too busy or are our laws silly and just being produced as knee jerk reactions to public opinion and overloading our all ready stretched police forces.
