Depends on what court, in what system, in what county, and in what state. In my dealings with criminal courts, I have not been able to find criminal court records online for states like New York, but I have for states like New Jersey. I use CourtLink (www.courtlink.com) which is NOT free.
An alternative would be to visit the court with which the criminal conviction took place.

I used that website http://www.echeck.pcti-system.com .. the one referenced by that detective guy. I found exactly what I was looking for. So much for Mr Right, or rather Mr Convicted Felon with 2 Liens against him totaling over 30,000$ and an ex-wife I never knew about!! Thank God I found out the truth before it was too late. We were almost engaged!!

usually not. You have to request a copy and pay for it if that jursidiction is empowered to send them out.
If you're talking about a trial transcript, no for sure. You have to pay the court stenographer by the page to transcribe it for you.
