How do i curl my hair without burning it?

I tried so many timeS and i got a third degree burn?

ouch um theres the little round cylinder things but those suck dont u them but i use the burning ones

ugh, i hate that when it happens... um, wet your hair first and then do it, or just don't make the curler too hot before you curl your hair.
