They should be locked away until they are no longer a danger to children. If this doesn't happen until they are dead, so be it.
Suggestions of public hanging or crucifixion are nothing to do with crime prevention, they are about satisfying your own perverted blood lust.
In fact, a death penalty for child sex crimes would put children in more danger - such people would be more likely to kill their victims to prevent them telling anyone, knowing that they had nothing further to lose by this action. Try to think before you let your fingers type nonsense.

Mr Sceptic has a point. However the other side of that argument is we have very little deterrent for the most serious crimes. Many would think twice before they killed or whatever crime had a tariff of death. There are some who have mental problems, and the problem is the political correct and the do gooders will want to see them out on the streets as soon as possible. Repeat offenders committing any crime should be taken out of society.

my feeling on this is if a peodophile is caught and there is undisputable evidence they should be put down as they are no good to anyone ,this would have to be a court red handed thing as odviously innocent people would be killed other wise .
alot of these sick individuals have no control, i read a story a few years back when a man walked into a police station and said he was dangerous and the man went on and said he would attack children and that he should be locked up , the police said you havent commited a crime theres nothing we can do . not long after the man had abused or might of even killed a child ???
its hard to know where the answer is praps make an example of the freaks that are court red handed , yet as i said alot of these fukers dont have any control .
as an answer to your question yes but no i havent a clue but if i had children and one of these fukers did something to them my opinion would change.

Children are largely denfenceless and crimes of this nature should be seververly punished. However, public hanging may not be much of a deterent and may have the opposite effect of pushing these criminals further underground (making them more difficult to catch). Also it might insite a mob culture which is not a good idea as justice should remain in the hands of the law (if it is mostly effective in a country).

Those are rather harsh choices there...BUT! It appears that the brain wiring is screwed up in pedophiles and as much as I like to believe that people can change, the more I read in the paper and see on tv, I don't think that this type of person is able to change. And that's sad. But for the protection of the children, maybe nothing as drastic as what you offered but maybe a whole plot of land...a pedophilia state...a commune, whatever you wanna call it. Somewhere that they're all living together, work, sleep...but it's separated from the rest of the nation by electrified fences. Let 'em live...but among themselves.

I totally think paedophiles should be kept away from all society forever but, if considering the death penalty, a neat little lethal injection would be fine, nothing grizzly or revengeful just practical and efficient.

I'm against the death penalty so that is out.
However for pedophiles I leave the ultimate torture. Castration by a dull rusted axe, one genital at a time. Then lock them up and DON"T MAKE a key. Just let them rot in solitary confinement for the rest of their useless lives. Also make sure they have everything they may need to commit suicide; ropes, razors (rusted), cyanide capsules, ect.

NO! they should have their nuts removed slowly by rusty razor blades and/or blunt nail scissors! Then they should be made to tie their innards to the back of a wild horse and be dragged around the whole of the country until their bodies fall to pieces from road rash!
Then they should be part boiled, roasted and then hung from a lampost until them old bones just turn to dust!
