My client has been charged with attempted school bombing. The person who accused her is a school bully, which is proven with several witnesses, and possibly might have set another person up for a crime.

However, the client told the bully that she would "get him back" and has art depicting the bully in flames. Then again, she is an artist and was told to express herself with art.

What should my opening statement cover in regards to my witnesses and evidence?

My witnesses are a psychologist who vouches for the bullying, a scientitist who says the bomb was poorly constructed, and a friend who says the defendent would never do such a thing and hints at the bully's history of setting up people.

The evidence is the chemicals found at my client's house (commonly used chemicals) and the fact that no fingerprints were found on the bomb.

Today in English class we were handed these sheets to instruct us on tolerance by Peggy McIntosh, a notorious "anti-racist" (I hate this term) and I received the one on women. I called some of what McIntosh said baiting (the bold) and the rest misleading or pedantic.

McIntosh wrote 3 of these papers: "Male Privilege" (the one I had) "Straight Privilege" and "White Privilege". All were divided between the class. I'm actually quite surprised she didn't attack the Christians; them being a common target. Her pen must have ran out.

Anyways, I just finished writing a sarcastic, brutally honest response to this paper for homework (I'd so love to post it but I don't know how, I work on a mac). But I'll put in bold the ones I definitely thought were baiting.

*If I am never promoted, it's not because of my sex.
*If I fail in my job or career, I can feel sure this won't be seen as a black mark against my entire sex's capabilities.
*If I'm not conventionally attractive, the disadvantages are relatively small and easy to ignore.
*I can be loud with no fear of being called a shrew. I can be aggressive with no fear of being called a *****.

Here are the details. You decide if this is a true story.
26 yr old single mom who works 3 days per week and attends college (full time) 2 days per week.
She has 3 children.
She gets $60 per week in child support.
She reports all her earnings to welfare.
She recieves $300 per month which she uses to pay part of her rent.
Welfare sends her a notice that says she must participate in a Workfare program.
She is now required to perform public service for 11 days each month.
The 11 days must be business days.
She visits the Workfare office and explains that she is working and attending school.
If required to complete the 11 days of Workfare she will have to either not go to her regular job or miss classes.
Workfare tells her "You must make hard choices but as a mother you must do what is best for your children. We advise you to stop attending classes."
She quickly learns that if she quits her job she will lose her welfare benefits.

The republican congress couldn't pass it on it's own merits, so they tacked it onto the "Port Security" bill to sneak it by us.

Now wether you are a poker player or not, WHAT does Partypoker.com have to do with "port security"?

For those of you who aren't familiar with the new law, George Bush recently signed into law, an act which makes it illegal for grown men and women to play poker online.

And he is supposed to represent the party that is "against big government". It doesn't matter if you are a poker player or not.

What if next time, they ban "Yahoo Answers"?

my husband is facing 3 domestic violence in the 3rd degree misdemeanor charges, and i have been trying to drop them, but the court prosecutor is refusing to let me and told me that when i go to court if my testimony is different than what i told the court he will press charges on me. what kind of sentence could i face? i am pregnant and don't want to be in jail, but i also don't want my husband there.

I am betting someone at work $100 that he can't drink a whole bottle of everclear. He says he can, but I know he is full of ****. I told him that $100 says you can't. I am even going to supply the bottle for him. I bet that he can't drink the whole bottle without puking or hitting the floor. If he dies of alcohol poisoning, could I be charged with murder. Would I be help accountable for him dying if I supply him the bottle and do nothing to stop him from drinking it all. He is 21 years old.

Should a fund be set up to pay rewards for the location of missing people, bodies etc.(paid only after body, person was found) Similar to Crime stoppers, Even if it was the person who committed the crime. A criminal by the name of Clfford Olsen would only disclose the location of the children he murdered if he was paid money ( to give to his family).

i have been having drainage problems for about 20 years,the parish presedent has been out 3 different times saying"we will fix it"but nothing happens.2 weeks ago "oh yes sir we will get this problem fixed i'll have a crew out next wedsday " nada.today i call"oh sir you are on the list for monday". the problem lies in the way the ditch grade is,approx. 300 ft.from my house is a deep(6 ft.) ditch that runs to a huge canal.about 20years ago they resurfaced our road and took out a cross drain culvert,boom begin my fight with the council,parish presidentcomes out mr.blank we plan on redigging the ditch onyour side so it will train to the bigger ditch,never happend yet.every times it rains it floodsmy property so bad we have to take our shoes off to get in or out of our cars.not to mention it brings allthe sewage from alll our neibor up the road in to our yard.i am mobility impaird to boot.other than shooting the sobs i think this will be my only recourse

If there is a court date set and a process server has to serve someone with a summons to appear in court on a certain day to show cause why they should not be found in contempt of court but the server can not find that person to serve them what happens on the court date? do they proceed without that person or what?

Suddam Hussien was recently put to death only days after his conviction. Yet there are inmates who are still on death row 10, 15, years and longer since being sentenced. Should there be a set date for execution. say 6 months maximum. If the first appeal failed that should be it. Also should the victims families be included in the sentencing decisions.

I got a ticket for making a right turn at a red light without completely stopping. I am a minor so I got a letter in the mail saying I have to show up and pay $379. But I take a closer look and I see that they have charged me with something else. I believe the charge against me is running a red light, when I did not. Is there anything I can do?
