In most states, your landlord can evict you (with or without "proof") so long as they give you a 30 day warning. I hate to say it but there really isn't much that you can do about it, it seems like the landlord obeyed the law.

Look at it this way, you'll get to find a better place to live without breaking your lease and they'll lose out on money from lack of good tenants.

I'm sorry.

Forget me is correct yes they can kick you out if they don't want you there. A lease is more for the land lords protection than anything. Also there are two sides to every story. Perhaps you are not telling us something?

Contact the owner. I am a landlord and I would sure want to know about something like this, especially after 20 years.

Seek some free legal aid if you can't afford it. Depending on what type of lease you have, they may be able to kick you out at anytime for no reason at all. It is kind of like "at will" employment, they can let you go at anytime at all for no reason, or you can walk out at anytime with no reason.

no they cant kick you out just cause they hate you especially if you are on a lease however depending on if he will say you were unrully or loud and may bring people in his defense if you think you were good tenants and you can offord it take him to court
