My girlfriend made a mistake and now she has a record. She got her life together and got a BS degree, now she is having a hard time finding a job. I want to help but don't know what to tell her...why is or judicial system so unforgiving?

BTW...she is not a habitual criminal!

I went to a game on 5/26/06 while visiting a friend who lives in the bronx and noticed there were people buying and selling peanuts all around me!!!! How dare they? i am severely allergic to peanuts! The next day I broke out in hives and my tongue swelled out of my head.

Within 3 years following their release, 5.3% of sex offenders (men who had committed rape or sexual assault) were rearrested for another sex crime. NOT 99%!!!!

National Study by Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch Finds Majority Face Life for First Offense

(New York, October 12, 2005)—There are at least 2,225 child offenders serving life without parole (LWOP) sentences in U.S prisons for crimes committed before they were age 18, Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International said in a new joint report published today.
While many of the child offenders are now adults, 16 percent were between 13 and 15 years old at the time they committed their crimes. An estimated 59 percent were sentenced to life without parole for their first-ever criminal conviction. Forty-two states currently have laws allowing children to receive life without parole sentences.

I am recently divorced and my ex has requested that i submit to drug testing so that i can see my kids. the judge agreed and ordered it so. I have no prior drug convictions or offenses but did go to voluntarily to a rehab for vicodin use. Is this legal? Do i have to test?

My bankruptcy was dismissed last year but I have no idea what happened to the money and car that I turned over to the trustee. According to the trustee's office they don't give an accounting of the money. That doesn't seem right! Can anyone answer this question?
