As a Jew, and speaking here for all Jews (I think I can do that considering there aren't that many of us left), I think people hate us because we are just so incredibly good-looking and talented. I mean, come on! Frickin' William Shatner. We got him. People are livid over that. The non-Jews always trying to convert him and whatnot. And what about Sammy Davis Jr? Okay, so he converted. But still... smooth cat. And we got him. That drives people nuts. Sandy Koufax - greatest pitcher in the history of baseball... That's right! Jewish! We got him. People want us dead for that one too.
But listen... in all seriousness, that is a very difficult question to answer on a forum such as this. You should just do some research and make your own determination. The information you seek is readily available.

It is not to hate jews but I tell you the reasons that some people have . one is because so many people believe that jews killed christ so this the begining . For a long time in the history jews werent allowed to own lands and properties so they made money out of borrowing money to others and get it back with high interest ( merchants of venice) that made jews even richer than christans , so hate toward jews even got worst . another thing is jews usually do business with jews ( historical reasons because noone like them back then ) and this is became a culture so what people see in NY is jews getting richer everyday and this makes some people angry . ....

I was raised catholic, I was under the impression people of the jewish faith were responsible for the death of Jesus. Now, I wasn't there and I certainly do not hold a grudge. But I know people that will stand up on a soap box and scream to the highest mountain against anyone who is not catholic, calling them "sinners". These people just take things too far and do not have a true understanding of what it means to have "faith". What ever religious background you are, believe in it and have faith in it.
Tell your friend not to worry about it, after all is said and done,
ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE ME...

can't really answer for everyone. but for me, I'm really mad at this one guy who coincidentally happens to be a jew. but regardless if he is, he's making the school read this 600 page book over the summer. it wouldn't bother me so much if the book was interesting and had a life lesson.
but no...its about religion and politics.....and the suffering of the jews. this I hate about all people, when they try to force feed their opinion/belief/views. Its extremely irritating and completely turns me off to even wanting to listen to anything that you're gonna say.
I have nothing against encouraging a deeper persuit into or sparking an interest in something. That's fine, but being forced to is, for me, an unattractive approach.

Understanding the "world's oldest hatred" requires some study. The book by Dennis Prager "Why the Jews" is an excellent resource.
Or check out this online seminar on the subject: http://www.aish.com/seminars/whythejews/

People seem to believe that the Jews were responsible for Jesus' death. It's clear in the Bible that the Romans murdered him. The Roman Governor Pontius Pilate condemned him to death and had his soldiers nail him to the cross. I don't have a clue as to why people keep this myth up. It is SO racist!

Hatred, whether against Jews or any one else, is based out of ignorance (lack of knowledge). We tend to fear things we don't understand. Hatred is taught, and it is important to teach children what racism is, so they can learn it is wrong. Usually, if some one hates Jews, it's because of ignorance, passed along by their own circle of family and friends.

being a Jew myself many people hate us because we are the minority. others hate us so that they have a place to vent their hatred. even more still believe the Nazis saying that we control the government which is a total lie. but always remember that u make up your own answer by reading facts. don't just always believe other people.

Any group is hated because people are taught to hate. The movie/musical "South Pacific" says it more lyrically than I ever could, but there aren't ANY religious views, political views, or prejudices of ANY kind that are "organic." They're taught. Thru families. thru culture, thru society.
It's not "natural." It's very much kin to the other screwed up practices we pass on to our children (like how it's ok to hit kids in order to discipline them-- and other atrocities). Like how it's ok to hate gay people.

I don't either. I think your friend may be getting cussed out because of some other reason. People like you who raise the racial reason are the ones who are the racists, not the average American.
