I asked this this question last night as well and had great feedback... My landlord confiscated my passport 2 weeks ago, because of the fact that my rent was behind (6 weeks), due to the fact that I broke my hand and wasn't able to work. I do not qualify for benifits and that's why it is in arrears. He told me yesterday after I pleaded to him, that he will keep it till my rent is up to date...(he also said that, he is keeping it to make sure I don't skip the country to get away from my outstanding rent of £420.00??!!??) The problem is, I have to find work and most companies doesn't eccept a copy of a passport. Any advice will be appreciated!!!!

I feel the seller was somewhat deceptive; I probably should have paid more attention though. The seller is threatening to sue and attempt to get legal fees and everything else says i commited fraud. I am looking for a website that talks about legal issues with ebay of if any attorneys are paying attention that would be helpful. I wasn't to worried but I actually think this guy might try and sue me. Any info on legal precedent for this type of thing would help also.
This is more of a principle issue than anything because the guy has been such an a** through the whole thing. The guy states:
"The use of the internet to defraud or deceive willingly and maliciously deceive is unlawful and criminal. A complaint of internet fraud will be filed with the United States Attorney General’s office. By you signing up with eBay to bid, you agreed to the terms and conditions of the buying and selling of products. By bidding, you placed a legal contract to buy the items you bid on of mine. etc."

I truly believe that some people should not be allowed to have or take care of children. If there were backround checks for every adult before they could raise a child, maybe I wouldn't have been raped by my step father when I was 7. Does anyone agree with me?

The little men and women of our county are falling further and further. politicians allow drugs into our country and ship amunitions to comunist country's . Lawyers , cops and judges get caught breaking the laws in many ways and nothing is done to them at all . We as a people , see these things unfolding right in front of us plain as day but at the same time, nothing is done. I'm a semi - educated black male who thinks that the best president would be someone from the like of the movie "BULWORTH". A suicidal senator freaks out and starts to tell it like it REALLY is ... No jokes.... No hidden adgendas... Just the truth. Not to bash any specific person or politicician.... Just asking .

Ebay disallows it's sellers who sell in ebay's so called auction format from recovering Paypal fees or for that matter the ebay fees. The reasons ebay gives for this is that they are not a true auction, (then why is it called an auction?). It might be acceptable somewhat that the ebay fee may not be totally recoverable, as cost of advertising. However the Paypal fee should be totally recoverable. While denying it's sellers from reclaiming Paypal fees, Ebay/Paypal also disallow sellers from listing GreenZap as a payment option. GreenZap fees are flat rate fees making GreenZap a good competitive alternative to Paypal. Is Ebay/Paypal in conflict of interest or in antitrust violation? Also is this fiar, Ebay/Paypal are profiting on top of their own fees and shipping cost when payments are made via Paypal, as Paypal fees are a percentage based on the total cost which includes shipping cost and ebay's own fees thereby skimming profit off their own fee, there's probably a legal term for this.

A neighbour that I know called child welfare and falsely accused me of horrible things. There is no evidence that I did any of the things she accused me of. She has called twice in the past week. I have decided to move because I am terrified that she will continue. I would like to know if there is something I can do to stop her and what my rights are.

Should one mistakes cost them the rest of their life?
Yes, the nature of the crime does matter but there are those ex offenders who made a mistake and want to go on with their life. Is it fair that So many obstacules are in their way??? Preventing them from every leaving the past behind... Wouldn't you think this kind of discrimination only turns ex cons back to the way they were???

Im a Charge RN. I "wrote up employee "X" for proven false documentation" on 2 separate occasions. The war started! She tried to get me in trouble at every turn. My co-workers warned me to be careful and watch my back. By the way, no disciplinary action was taken against her. Approx. 1 month ago another employee got suspended by our manager for the same thing. Last week I walked up to a patient, picked up her chart and wrote 2 words on the treatment sheet before I was called to the phone. While on the phone "X" walked away from her patients, took the treatment sheet I started and made a copy of it. I was off the phone by this time and returned to the patient but couldn't find the sheet. I got distracted and the sheet suddenly reappeared. I finished my note using the current time since that's when the patient was talking to me. At the end of patient's treatment employee X made another copy of the completed sheet and turned it in to administration. I got FIRED for false documentation!!!

A friend of mine owes money. I been trying to be nice and wait for him to pay me. This issue is being going on since february. He works, makes good money but he just doesn't want to pay me back. I don't have paperwork as proof of the borrowed money, but I recorded a telephone conversation between us.
can that be used as evidence?
