I know many cops smoke pot. I mean these days who doesnt? So do u think its wrong if the guy spends his days makin many arrests a day for marijuana usage and possession?

the guy i know is 25 and he smokes bowls and joints in a group IN UNIFORM and tells everyone about how many arrests he made for possession, laughing about it. NO ONE really likes the guy hes only accepted because no one wants to be busted by him... its a real STICKY situation

we know that it is like a game we get high the cops try to catch us so far i have been winning, but the police were hired to uphold the law even if they do not think it is right. so the law is the law and I want them to do their job, however I am hoping that the government will finally see that legalizing and taxing pot is smarter than trying to fight a losing battle

Goodluck proving that. But I'm sure some cops do confiscate pop and smoke it. You would never be able to prosecute. At least it is highly unlikely. You could although report them if you see them in the act of smoking. Take a picture and bring it down to the station. But honestly is it worth the trouble?

What do want to bet that the vast majority of that persons arrests, pertaining to pot, are either mass quantities, or in addition to other charges???
What can that person do? He has to uphold the law and obviously believes in it (for the most part) but they are also apparently responsible pot smokers?? AND...I'd hate to think of what kind of PRICK he'd really be as a cop if he didn't have that to help him unwind at the end of a shift??
See, if they just legalized it...we wouldn't have that problem!

I dont smoke POT, once I reaches 18 my POT smoking days were over.
I also dont know any one in my life (family or friends) that do smoke it.
But... If a cop him self is smoking pot, then surely he can not judge you, unless of course your a dealer, then I dont care what the cop smokes, the dealer should be busted.

It is not right for a law enforcement officer to smoke marijuana. This is a problem with his personal values. Despite this, a cop must also have professional values. One must remember that a cop may not agree with a law but his duty is to uphold it.

well usually cops are entitled to do anything they wish to, they also speed too u know, now do we arrest them just b/c they speed excessively like we do, of course not, the same concept goes to if a cop smokes pot, it doesn't matter what a cop does, as long as if they aren't corrupt then whatever they do is their business not urs!!

I think it is wrong for the person to be a cop if he is arresting people who smoke and he himself smokes. He should probably change professions.
