I've applied for 2 positions at the library I work at. The first time it was as a childrens librarian and they told me I was totally unqualified to serve the position and had no experience with children. I could buy that. I then applied a few months later for 2 positions as the lowest rung librarian who serves all the different departments including childrens. I was informed that I did not know what the position entailed and was not suitable for it. Now I have my Masters in Library and Information Science. And it turns out that they hired two girls with no experience and no MLIS.

It appears to me that they do not want men to ever serve in the childrens department. Perhaps they feel parents will be creeped out by it? The question remains 1.Should men be allowed to work as childrens librarians? and 2. Does the above story sound like a breech of ethics?

By our current laws are homosexuals denied any more rights than people who can't express their religious beliefs? I mean if you are a homosexual you can express that in public and even in school. I don't think it's moral. The only thing that you can't do as a homosexual is get married. Marriage isn't an institution of the state. It's an institution of religion. The government, if they truly believe in separation of church and state, should keep their noses out of it altogether. Now a religious person on the other hand is prohibited from speaking about God in her speech as a Valedictorian. Now where is the tolerance? It's a flat out government restriction on the freedom of speech. Back to the marriage thing. If the government is allowed to make laws concerning who can and can't get married, then what is going to stop them from making laws in the future saying that certain hetero couples can't get married? Maybe as a result DNA testing. Do you see the importance of this left and right?

where would I start to have a law that is already standing and may have been in effect for many year's and the average voter or person out there that are not in the legal field has no idea that this law is on the book's . would I start with a petition and then go to my heads of state like the governor ? congress has nothing to do with state laws do they? or would I contact them to ? the law that I am talking about trying to change or at least amend is. (criminal) anyone that could get me stirred in the right direction I would apperciate any information that you could send my way this particuliar law I am passionate about having a amend in the law or the law revised so that it is not left up to law enforcement to interpret the law to there benefit. I heard a officer tell the rookie if she has not been in trouble before we will let her go if she has we will discuss it I was with my sister when this particular situation occured!!

How can it be OK to abort one fetus and not the other. This is a very christian way of thinking: without thinking things through all the way. What's next? Abortion is OK in case of Arab, Black, or any brown-eyed genes? You are horrible people to think this way, and not very "Christian"!

How can you say it is bad except in cases of rape? What makes it less "alive" or important, or human?

I am pro-choice by the way.
