1.) Not sure that they feel pain, if they did I would think it would kill them because they are so fragile
2.)The child is alive when there is a heartbeat.
3.)That is life, a heartbeat, we know that someone is dead if they have no pulse and are alive if they do right?.
4.) I don't think it should be legal except in the case of rape (which by the way you should have gotten the morning after pill if you went to the doctor anyway) or if it will cause the mother to die.
5-6.)Yes, murder is taking the life of someone else. If they have a heartbeat and you take it from them for your own personal gain then yes. it is murder. especially in the case of partial birth abortion. That is just brutal.
8.)The government does need a say because they need to make the law,
7.) should men? That is a hard one. A lot of men want children so badly and the only way to have your own child is if a women carries it but should they be able to tell a woman not to have a child? Absolutely not. So since a woman has the right to say you are relinquished of all resposibilities to this child part of me says the father should have the same rights but it is the womans body unfortunatly.
10.) I can't stand the idea of abortion because I love children so much and I see so many people using it as a form of birth control and saying that it is a womans choice... well they also had the choice to wear a condom, to take a form of birth control (both free at family planning) and also the choice to not have sex! This is where I justify rape victims as they didn't have a chance to choose but all the other already made thier choice. Now they want to choose death for thier child because they are too young!?! Well then maybe you are too young for sex too.
How it affects me? High blood pressure and tears on my pillow at night.
Does no one rember ADOPTION is a possibility!?! All this "well the child would be abused" crap or "I couldn't give it a good life because I was too young" is rediculous! There are women all over crying for a child every night...did you forget about them!?

I view abortion as not only ending a life but also ending all potential that that being would have had on countless other lives. What if that person could have ended world hunger or cured cancer. If the mother's life is in danger than sure she should have a choice. I don't think that rape is a good enough reason to have an abortion. There are so many couples who would like to adopt plus do you see them putting rapist to death? No so why put a harmless infant to death. Life begins at conception, from the first splitting of atoms the embryo has every chromosome necessary to make a complete person. What really ticks me off is that if I wreck into a pregnant woman on her way to the abortion clinic than I can be charged with 2 counts of manslaughter. Yet it is perfectly acceptable for her to kill the baby. Just another way our legal system is F***** up.

I feel that the only person who has a say in an abortion is the woman that is considering it. I think it is completely okay. Especially for girls who are very young or if a woman is raped, she should have that option. I had an abortion a while back. I did not take anybody elses opinion into consideration. I was not in love at the time and was not ready for a child. No job, no steady home. That is not a world I would want an innocent child to have to endure. But, after I did it, I felt some guilt. I still think about it to this day and I know now that it was a good decision for me.

That's a lot of questions. Basically it boils down to one answer though. No one has a say except the individual who is responsible for the baby, being the woman.
Pro-life = Taking away a persons right to choose. The end.
Pro-choice = CHOICE. It is not a pro-abortion movement, in the
least. It simply means no one must have their right
to choose taken away from them by any man,
woman, government, state or country. End of
discussion. That is the only thing it means. All other
arguments, points, discussions, mandates, ect...
have no place in the description of what Pro-choice
means. Pro-choicers are not in support of killing
babies, in fact most of them are against abortion,
but have the moral backing and good sense to
know it is not their choice, and would opt for
education rather than bombings.
By the way... how is a fetus less alive if it is made in the case of rape? Is it less of a person? How can it be OK to abort one fetus and not the other. This is a very christian way of thinking: without thinking things through all the way. What's next? Abortion is OK in case of Arab, Black, or any brown-eyed genes? You are horrible people to think this way, and not very "Christian"!

1) i do not know if they do or not.
2) if there is a heartbeat and nerve reaction, and brain wave stimulation , then id say then it is alive.
3) that is the universal question.
4) if pregnancy accures during a rape then yes, it should become legal for an abortion and only then if the mother chooses to utilize this right.
5) murder is the end of all life activity in a human, animal, etc when there is no heartbeat and brain activity combined.
6) yes, unfortunatly. it is a form of euthinasia/death/murder.
7) except for cases of rape, it takes two people(1 male and 1 female) to usually concieve a child.so unless the mother is a minor (under age of 18, then parents should always be informed of the situation) yes a father should be consulted in the matter. but it is the woman that has to carry the baby and deliver it.unfortunatly he(the father) is nothing more than a sperm donor and usually has very little imput. if it were me and i and the opportunity to ask his feelings on the matter, id take them under advisement but in the end id have the final say.
8) yes, again sometimes unfortunatly they do. but then we vote them into office,we vote for the laws that go into place. and we have a right to change them if we as a whole can gather enough others to vote them out and to change the laws written for each of us to abide by.
9) again , that depends on what laws are in place at the time both per each state and the federal government.
10) it would only affect me if it were one of my childern who had become pregnant. even if they were of legal age.i would ask by whom,do they want the baby and if not why were they not more careful in the first place, and how can i help them no matter what their decision is(whether to keep or terminate,or adopt out,or maybe i could help raise and care for till they are ready to do so themselves).plus probably a number of other questions related to the issue as well.
i believe it is a womans right to decide for herself if abortion is right for her. i also believe that if your only having an abortion simply because you forgot to protect yourself in the first place ,then you would be abusing the right. many women have utilized abortion as a form of birth control for genrations.many women(where it is currently illegal all around the world, will go thru many ways of abortion-ie.back alley scum, self medicating, self abuse.etc.)
there are so many forms of birth control(at varing finacial costs) mostly for the female ,but there are a couple of methodes for men as well that should always be used if pregnancy is not currently wanted to begin with:
pills,shot's,patches.condoms,lubricants,foams,abstinance,tubal ligation,vasectomies,hystorectomies and finally abortions.
the first six are not always fool proof.and the last four require surgery and only tubal ligations and vasectomies have a small percentage of a chance for reversal later on.and the last two should be truly consider with long thought and advice from your doctor, family, and you significant other or spouse.because you cant reverse them ever once done.finally,,,, foster parenting and adoption can always be another option for those if all else is decided against or possiably even have failed.

To preface, I am an atheist, egoist and nihilist. Now, having said that, i do not believe in abortion past the first trimester. I think morality - while having no real basis in a moral order or absolute - should be judged by suffering, to a certain degree. That is, it is immoral in most cases to cause suffering to another. Once a functional nervous system is in place, abortion is a bad idea. If you can't decide within the first three months of getting pregnant whether or not you want the baby ...

1) I don't know. I can remember as far back as my second or third birthday, so who knows.
2) Until it is birthed it is not alive IMO.
3) refer to #2
4) If it is of adult and parent consent, it should be legal.
5) Killing someone.
6) NO
7) If it is their seed. Yes they have a choice but the mom has the ultimate say.
8) absolutly NO. Never.
9) If I have a kid I have to pay for it. Not the government. They benefit by you having a kid, a consumer and tax payer is born ever minute.
10) It doesn't affect me. It is their choice not mine to make.
Not to mention if abortion was illegal, then so should the death penalty. How does this philosophy differ?

It doesn't compare with a lifetime of abuse from a parent that doesn't want the child. I'd say it's a woman's choice! The government needs to stay out of it .They need to clean their own closets!

It's a sick convenience killing for irresponsible people.
To actually kill someone as a way of not interfering with "your" life is evil.
And jtuckerndfw: Isn't the baby directly involved?
