Yes a felony could turn your life around. But let's look at the deeper problem. All these federal military bases around the country. With all the cutbacks in military spending many of these facilities go underused. Why not create training centers to give young people market skills. They could pay their way in tax dollars over three years and Uncle Sam would benefit. The amount of money required to fund prisons would go down. And all these teachers who are underemployed could find job. What do you think?

I do. A friend of mine did 6 years in the state pen, (2 for drugs, another 4 for agrivated assault). He was 19 when he went in. When he got out, he found work on a drilling rig from the half way house, worked there for 5 years, saved his money, went to school, got a degree in petroleum engineering, and is now a drilling superintendant. He's making 140K+ Hell of a bright guy with a strong work ethic. I guess you just need the desire.

I DON'T KNOW ANYONE WHO WENT TO COLLEGE AFTER BEING CONVICTED OF A FELONY. BUT I DO KNOW SOMEONE WHO WAS CONVICTED OF SEVERAL FELONIES, SPENT MANY YEARS IN PRISON. WAS FINALLY RELEASED AND WAS ABLE TO GET A JOB THE DAY HE WAS RELEASED. THEN PROGRESSED FROM THERE TO A COMPANY THAT PAID HIM MORE MONEY THAN HE HAD EVER MADE. EVEN TO THE POINT OF MAKING HIM SUPERVISOR OVER THE LARGEST DEPARTMENT IN THE COMPANY. AND YES THEY KNEW HE HAD BEEN IN PRISON, AND YES THEY KNEW WHY. BUT GUESS WHAT. THEY DIDN'T CARE. NOT EVERYONE IN SOCIETY HOLDS OUR PAST AGAINST US. ANYONEONE WHO DOES, IS NOT WORTH WORKING FOR. WANT MORE INFORMATION? CONTACT ME. I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. I WAS THAT MAN.
