This would mean that the homeless person would be a ward of their master, who would have to provide food, shelter, and clothing during the contracted time of slavery. Of course issues of treating the slave humanely, and contract rules would be set more clear...but on the basic premise- would you clean up a homeless person enough to keep them in your home to do chores?

Let me say that I'm not an advocate for slavery, it was a question formulated between 'How would you remedy the problem of homelessness in America?' and "What do you think of slavery?"

WASHINGTON – A jury convicted former Bush administration official David H. Safavian on Tuesday of concealing his dealings with disgraced Republican lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

The former General Services Administration chief of staff was found guilty on four counts of obstructing justice, concealing his assistance to Abramoff in a proposed land deal and making false statements to a Senate committee that investigated Abramoff’s activities.

Safavian is the first official to be tried in the wide-ranging investigation of Abramoff, who has pleaded guilty to corruption charges. Rep. Bob Ney, R-Ohio, is under investigation as part of the federal probe.

Four others, including Ney’s former chief of staff-turned-lobbyist Neil Volz, also have pleaded guilty and are cooperating with prosecutors

Does anyone know where (other than the Netherlands) marijuana is legal today?

My neighbor owned a consignment store. She had 98 consignors that she sold items for. One lady got upset because she did not want her earnings reported so she went to the police and told them that she was never paid. (My neighbor had her to pick up her belongings). My neighbor was questioned by the detective and gave him copies of all paperwork. He responded back to the consignor that he believed the paperwork to be in order but she was welcome to pursue other options.
After this, the consignor had 3 of her older friends to go to the police and say they also dropped off items that were never paid for. My neighbor was arrested and now her case is being indicted by the grand jury. Living on limited funds herself.
What does she do now???

I was fired from a new job today because a former employer gave details on why I was fired from that job. Isn't that slander? So wouldn't I have grounds to sue the former company I worked for?

RIDICULOUS, imo. Its like getting a phone call from a stalker and when he shows up at your door, you sue the phone company for not protecting you.
Stfu. You also DO NOT need 30 million dollars, just because your kid is a dumbass and doesn't know better than to meet people from the internet. I seriously have no sympathy at all for them. Perioddd. How bout you.
