This can get tricky. While some judges will consider your plight and grant you another court date, many will put out a bench warrent on you and you will need to turn yourself in to the authorities, make bail, and then receive a new court date. Call the court clerks and find out their common policies on this issue. If, a few hours in jail doesnt sound appetizing, consider sending the judge a heartfelt, apologetic letter, detailing why you couldnt make it. If he/she has compassion, you will find a new court date in the mail. But, there's no guarantee, though worth a shot. But be prepared to pay extra for the warrent, no matter what happens, unless it is an error of the court.

In order to get a failure to appear warrant dropped you need to appear in Traffic Court (even if you don't have a court date), and see the Judge that morning. You are given a chance to explain why you did not appear for your first court date. At that time your bench warrant will be released and you can take care of whatever violation that you have that day, depending on it's cause.
Well, I hope this helps!

all you have to do is show up for open court. the judge will issue a new court date and quash the warrent. just be sure to make it to the next date. besure to dress in a nice pair of slacks and possibly a tie, it looks good. show respect to the court and nine times out of ten the judge will go easy on you. also address the judge as "Sir or Your Honor". that also makes them happy.
good luck.

Go to the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court where your case is,and ask for a Peition to Reinstate form.
There may be a nominal filing charge, especially if it's after 30 days.
They will set you up with a new court date.

You can't just get a F.T.A. bench warrant dropped. You have to turn yourself in and wait for a new court date in jail. There is no bond for F.T.A.

speak to your attorney. here we can go to the city court office an hour before court starts during the week and ask to be added to that judges docket. they may or may not accept you. if not, ask how much your bail is, leave, get the money together, give it to someone you trust, turn yourself in to the jail before 3am in order to get booked in properly before the morning docket. you will either ger released or you will get bailed. good luck.

You can't now go turn yourself in and they will take care of it for you.
