I recently ran my car into a small tree and it has caused some damage. About $800 in damage. Insurance Refuses to pay. Can I sue myself for wrecking the car to reimburse myself for the $800 I had to pay out of pocket. Is there a law that says I cannot sue myself in court?

Someone earlier, asked this question, but they used a derogatory term for gays instead, and received a lot of heated responses in return. So, I thought I would be open-minded, open myself up to criticism, and ask the question. Your thoughts, please? Thanks!

My friend was @ her boyfriends house in the garage getting ready to put her dog in the car w hen the Lab saw a cat run across the yard and chased it. The cat ran into the road & the dog followed- both got hit by a car. Dog is ok- cat died. The car was dented (amount damage unkown) My friend spent 12 hrs in the vet with the dog and in the mean time the car owner reported it to his car insurance co. The police came by looking for her and when they finally found her they wanted her name & phone number for the report. Now the insurance co sent her a letter asking for her insurance info. Her car wasn't involved so I told her they probably want her boyfirned's homeowner's insurance info. Would homewoners cover the damage to the car because the dog ran from the yard of the house into the road? I did not know what to tell her. She is in NJ. I told her to call an agent & pose the question to get an unbiased opinion rather than call the homeowners 1st. Can the insurance company come after her?

Cell phones are sending radiation into your brain and you cant feel it unless you are electrosensitive. cell towers are increasing breast cancer, yet companys are still allowed to produce phones for all the money? Money is more important then life and this War has also proved that.

I have a family friend that her husband left her with her two kids to raise. The has bought a house together and i guess both of their names were on the deed. Though they are no longer together they never got a divorse and are still married. Her husband filed bankrupt (sp) about a year ago. Just this past week she recieved a letter through the mail saying that she owes $30,000 on the house they once lived in and must be paid by so & so date. (niether of them live in this house now) It was just never paid off. Since her husband filed for bankrupt and they are still legally married is she involved in that anyway? She says she does not have the money to get a lawyer and file for bankrupt. She is afraid that they are going to start taking her belongings if the money is not paid back. I am not very good with the legal system so any input at all is appreciated!! Thanks!!!

Why are people in Hawaii able to have more thc in their system (100 ng/ml vs. 50 ng/ml) when they are screened for employment ? If this was a law passed by the state, why is it permitted by the federal government while they deny the ability of the states to permit medical marijuana?

Often people will say an action or inaction is "wrong" simply because it's against the law. What do you think. Is breaking the law malum in se (wrong by nature) or are some laws actually immoral?

All of the bible thumpers, Bush included, seem to think that if the Bible says marriage is between a man and a woman, then so should our Constitution. But wasn't America founded by people looking to keep religion out of government? Gay marriage's detractors seem to have forgotten about the Separation of Church and State.

No crash, criminal record, anything. Got pulled over for incomplete stop at stop sign and got a DUI (chose blood test over breathalyzer). If I'm not contesting the DUI, is it still worth it to get an attorney? Or just go in myself and plead guilty? The attorney fees would come in real handy elsewhere, but if it helps...

Thank you.

I found out that a sex offender lives next door to me. I initially was pissed off, but I found out exactly what he did. He downloaded child porn 8 years ago. He didn’t touch a child, didn’t buy or sell the porn… he downloaded it. I talked to him and he showed me his PSI (pre-sentence investigation). He did exactly that – download child porn off of a newsgroup. Nothing more – nothing less. He Served 2 ½ years in prison and 3 years probation. I kind of feel sorry for the guy. I personally believe he got the shaft for what he did.

This is just a fake senario but I think it explains well what I mean:

1) Man gets charged with felony theft at age 18 in South Dakota.
2) Man is accused of felony statutory rape at age 32 in South Dakota. This was a class 3 felony but his prior felony charge is being considered and bumps it up to a class 2 felony, on three charges. This moves his faced time up from 10 years each charge to 25 years each charge.
I am trying to find out if there is a limitation on how long a prior felony can be used against someone to influence a current felony charge.

Thanks!
