Someone earlier, asked this question, but they used a derogatory term for gays instead, and received a lot of heated responses in return. So, I thought I would be open-minded, open myself up to criticism, and ask the question. Your thoughts, please? Thanks!

Okay! That's definitely enough answers - when the 24 hour period is up, I will choose the best and most open-minded answer as the best. I actually believe that gay persons have the right to fulfilling lives, just as everyone else. And yes, that includes the cherished and honorable practice of adoption. Thank you so much for everyone's input, it certainly was enlightening. And thanks for being mostly nice about it. I was intrigued by the other persons question, slightly offended as well, yet I just thought it was asked in the wrong way. There certainly is a right way, and a wrong way, to ask a controversial question.

You can't - it's non of your business so don't worry about it. You know this is America - land of the FREE home of the BRAVE and there are, I'm sure, brave Homosexuals. And NO I'm not Gay - I just think people shouldn't worry about what other good, legal, legitimate, honest, hardworking people do. You must be one of those Homo-phobic's to sit and dwell on such a stupid question.

I actually answered that last guys question. And I answered another one of your questions :) Although I don't agree with you AT ALL, I will tell you what I do when I don't agree with something going on. I write to my Senators and Representatives, and if you ask them too they usually will write you back. In fact, Senator Sentorum just wrote me back today. They are pretty nice even if they don't agree with you. You also could get involved with others who have the same position as you, and make fliers to help spread your message. You may find people who agree with you on here, or you could try Myspace, or even do a search for "stopping homosexuals from adopting children". But please if you do this, use actual statistics and facts about why homosexuals adopting children is bad. I just say that because I know it would take a lot to convince me otherwise. Also, you could go to Law School and change it yourself someday! Good luck!

Its an unfortunate event, but you cant.
The State Laws protect thier rights to have the kids. I believe even Federal Law gives them the right to do this too...
I am not for this, as I think its perverted for a couple who arent man and wife, to raise children, in a stable home. But, the law is the law and we cant do a thing about it because of the silly courts who dont know any better, (at least what a common person, would have more sense, most of the time), and they designate the will of "thier" wills, towards the people and not the other way around..
I wish you well..

Would you want me to take away your right to adopt kids? What about taking away your right to getting married?
I think there are bigger problems in this world than two loving people wanting to provide a home for an unwanted child. Why don't you focus your energies on feeding the homeless and clothing the poor. Maybe try being a foster parent if you are so concerned about the future of children in this country.
Ignorance doesn't win.

Anyone who thinks some should be not allowed to adopt children based on their sexual orintation is not truly looking at the whole bases for freedom in the U.S. which is my problem in the whole govenermental problem we should take the second to ask is it constitution not to allow some of a different sexual orintaion or any one else at that matter should not be allowed to do the same thing as a straight man or woman its bascally like the slave days if you really look at it

Im not sure how to, but when you find out let me know, im with you! Homosexuals should NOT be able to adopt children, it really sets them up to get made fun of and really for a long hard childhood, which will translate into their adulthood, they will be totally confused! It's wrong!

Its a real touchy situation but because how our society is it would be unfair to the child to have a two dads or two moms it would be hard on the child. What you have to do is make a convincing and realistic argument not based on opinion or hate but on reason and common sense and have many many people on your side.

if you adopt all of the children, then nobody, not even homos can adopt them.....who would do a better job do you think? you with thousands of kids a day, or two people who can focus their nurturing and care on a child that they actually want.
