I am not in any kind of army,navy,military etc. But I still want to contribute something for this country which has done a lot for me. I want this country to be totally terror free. Any ideas ?

Jade, this question is about fighting terror, not about how much you and that idiot Michael Moore hate the president. No one gives a damn if you don't like Bush, and just because you let Moore's nonsense delude you doesn't give you any particular insight.
Amrinder, just be vigilant. What this means is, find out what's going on around you. Terrorists thrive on ignorance, so don't fall victim to lethargy or to the opinions of the half-witted. Make sure that others around you are vigilant also; point things out, raise questions when things you see around you don't make sense.
Remember when you first learned that the 9/11 terrorists had taken flying lessons, but that they told their instructor they wouldn't need to learn to take off or land? If someone had asked questions, raised the issue with others, maybe even confronted them, maybe 9/11 would be just like any other day.

I agree with Lindsay..
However, we must also be vigilant and critical as to WHO is sowing the terror.
If you have seen Michael Moore's documentaries (although many are judging him as a whack. But i believe he's a genius...)
Anyway, his research has truth in it. See how after Bush bombed the Afghan people, in the guise of going after terrorist, that he had control of the oil and pipelines?
I also believe that Bush is instilling paranoia to the people. Some people have become racist to the arabs, tagging all of them as terrorists.
Though we have to be vigilant of possible terror in our communities, we also need to be critical of what is going on. We need to be on the look out for crime and other worse possibilities, but we still need to keep ourselves together...

Terrorism can only be won over by understanding, respect, and peace, for all individuals and from all individuals.

Start a neighborhood watch. Criminals and Terrorists have to live somewhere and they could be detected by unusual events, like coming and goings at strange hours, or a weird smell, or a large delivery of fertilizer.
