We are located in Jacksonville, Fla. and are about to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We provide rescue, rehabilitation and release for indegenous species, and foster homes for exotics. No animal winds up in a pet store, we adopt out only within the society. We are very concerned with the the new legislation concerning exotics that we see creeping up all over the country, and hope to provide a better alternative than legislating the industry to death. I am anxious to hear feedback. Thanks,

I know desert tortoises are an endangered species in California (where i live) so that is why i thought they were sulcata. Online i cannot tell the difference in the small tortoises in pictures. They are about 5" long. What are the physical characterists so that i can figure out what kind they are (in laymans terms, i'm no tortoise expert)

We had fish for a while and only have one left (a pleco). My friend would be willing to take him, if necessary. My kids have always been fascinated by turtles.. I'm not ready to run out and buy one without research, though. Are those good pets with kids (4 to 9 yrs old)? I'm thinking of a turtle that is smaller and loves water (isn't that all them, I know).. any ideas??

They are even in my wall, I think. I hear scratching in it under a window. I don't want to kill them, I just want them to live outside.

My children were given lizards by a neighbor a few days ago. I know nothing about them or even what kind they are. I am just curious to know if it is OK for them to hold the lizards. I don't want the kids to be hurting them and we don't know it. One of the lizards is shedding now...but I just don't want anything to happen to my kids new pets. Please help a worried mom of 3!! Thanks in advance for the answers.

I basically just want as much info on bearded dragons as I can get before I decide to buy them. I already have the terrerium set up with what I need. I really want a pair, but heard that you can't keep them together when they get older. Is that true?

I have 2 infant Chinese water dragons. They seem to enjoy "resting" on top of each other. I don't think they are old enough to try to mate and I have no idea if either one is female. Possibly trying to stay warm?

I want to get a Uromastyx but I'm not sure which one>>>
1. What species' full size is the smallest
2. Which one is easiest to care for
3. What would be that cheepest
(I don't really wanna spend $100 but if I had 2 I would, less that 100 would be great though)
