Hi, firstly i'm a beginner in petting tortoise. i bought the container and the pallets to feed the tortoises. But the problem is, the pallets are to hard for my tortoises to chew them.

Can give me some advises on what should i feed them with? They still little, baby tortoises i guess. One female and the other is male. I put both of them together in the same container.

Any suggestion??? Please help me I dont want them to die... (T.T)

Is this a garter snake maybe? It was on the front of my house by my window. I caught it but it got away. I live in Southwest Texas on the water, if it will make it easier to narrow down what kind would be in this area. Thanks!

Yesterday, I purchased two Asian Wood Turtles. The petshop owner told me that they are still young. They are about 4 inches large. I am keeping the in a very very large glass and wire reptile tank. I have three types of lighting: A ceramic heat lamp, a black light, and a long UV light. I have a bowl for drinking and soaking. I have been feeding them a mixture of veggies and turtle food. For bedding, I have some type of wood reptile chips. What else do I need to do to take care of them? I also have a heat rock that is suppose to be very safe and not burn whatever is using it. I haven't placed this in their home tho. Woudl they enjoy something like this? I want my turtles to be very happy. Please help! Any advice is welcomed. Thanks in advance!

I think its doubtful, but one of them keeps diggin at the bottom of the tank in the same spot every night. When I picked them up to compare them, one of them had 2 large lumps next to their tail. The one with the lumps is the sameone that is digging and has the lumps and is trying to bite me.... why is it doing this? Whats happening??

Hi all, I have two baby corn snakes, which are probably about 5 or 6 weeks old. One is eating well and is 4 times her birth size, the other one (a red one) won't eat anything and just seems to be getting smaller. He has no interest in live pinkies that we put in with him and just cuddles up with them on the heat rock. Any suggestions for other food items we could give him just until he grows bigger...all the webpages i found just say to give them baby pinkies...which I've tried. Please help me..I don't want him to die :-(

I found a tiny baby turtle, I'm pretty sure it's a painted turtle after doing some research, in my backyard. He is a little smaller than a quarter, we don't live near any ponds and I was wondering if I should release it, or if it is safe to keep him as a pet?

Ok. Got a 1 inch to 2inch turtle, red eared slider. Hes been acting weird. I have the UVA/UVB light, basking area, water at a good temp. I feed him more than just lettuce, I feed him ZooMed Aquatic Turtle Yummies, Cooked Chicken, ZooMed Can-O-Shrimp, and Lettuce too. But since yesterday, hes been sleeping a lot, and hes less active. I even picked him up once, and he didnt wiggle like usual, and he layed in my hand. He does move, but little, and I think his eyes are still closed. I have been keeping really good care of him, I really dont know whats wrong, and if this is normal. Also, do turtles have a clear thing on there eye-lid when they close there eyes? Mine seems to have a weird thing over his eye when its closed, like, you can see his pupil, but theres a skin layer over it, thats really thin, but he does open his eyes and it not there. So please, I need help, and some answers! THANK YOU!
